Churches take up way too much space and use up way too much money.

If it hadn't been for all the technological advances, you people wouldn't be using this very forum in the first place, amongst billion of other things. So you might as well feel a liiiiiiiiittle grateful... Just a thought.

It's so sad, really... Living in 2008, being on the verge of uniting the theories of quanta, relativity and gravity and at the same time having so many narrow-minded people around.

The point wasn't really that I was asking for a God test (although, just out of interest, what exactly counts as testing God, and what happens if we do test Him? They did that prayer testing http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12082681/ in New York, and I don't remember a locust plague, or anything like that).

Did you even read that article? It said that God gave them heart complications! That seemed like a pretty clear sign that He doesn't like being tested to me.

And what makes LHC so anti-Christian? Because you heard that they are looking for "God's Particle"?That name was said from the reporters not from scientists. And they are not trying to causse a big bang. it's almost impossimple. They are trying to find information about what happened in the few nanoseconds after the creation, not what caused the creation. Why some particles have mass and other's don't.What's so ungodly about that???
And there are many case studies inducted by serious scientist that come up to the fact that God exists. They aren't all atheists.
And if it weren't for science many of you would't be alive right now cause you may have died from flu or other disease.And you wouldn't have all those thing that Americans brag about...

sooooo, the LHC has been runnig for quite some time now. Still no gatewas or demonic hordes marching in my city.

Come on... it's jus a powerfull accelerator which will smash atoms together so they split open and we can see what they are made of inside.

Noone complained about microscopes (see into cells).
Noone complained about telescopes (see into the universe)
Noone complained about shooting bullets and filming it in slow motion so the bullet can be observed and made stronger.

You guys complain about an accelerator which will shoot atoms at each other so people can see what they are made of inside.

It's not the first attempt by humans to get closer to God. Remember the tower of Babel? Trying to find a "God particle" is clearly blasphemy and just like God punished us for trying to build a tower that reaches into Heaven and for electing Obama he will also find a way to punish us for trying to sneak closer to Him with the huge donut.

The only proper way to get closer to God is to live acording to the Holy Bible and earn a place in Heaven that way.

I have some doubt we will really get into trouble though. I think like the moon landing and global warming it is all just a hoax created by scientists to steal our money.

Everyone was scared of the LHC. They turned it on. Nothing bad happened.

My point: People can stop being scared. Nothing happened.

People where also scared of cars, trains, airplanes, television and radio when those things where created. It just takes time getting used to. Don't panic over everything new.
If god hadn't permitted it he would have send his angels to burn the cities where the LHC was build. So because nothing happened, looks like god gave it an ok sigh. Can't proove that he didn't!

Don't make such mistakes and don't look for "secret meanings" in words You can mess up every normal word this way...
