Sadly, a lot of Christians have bought into the idea of the big bang, without realizing that it is based on the anti-biblical philosophy of naturalism (there is no God, nature is all there is or ever was). Furthermore, they are generally not aware that the big bang contradicts the Bible on a number of points and has many scientific problems as well.

According to the big bang idea, the universe is nearly 14 billion years old; whereas the Bible indicates that the universe is about 6,000 years old. For those who claim to believe the Bible, this difference alone should be sufficient reason to reject the big bang. It is wrong about the age of the universe by a factor of over two million! But it is not just a problem of time scale; the Bible gives a different order of events than the current secular opinion. The big bang / naturalistic view teaches that stars formed before the earth, fish came about before fruit trees, and the sun came about long before plants. However, the Bible teaches the exact reverse—that the earth came before stars, fruit trees came before fish, and the plants were created before the sun.

Not everyone agrees with that. Do you agree Tommy?

Some people think that the AiG team have adulterated God's Inerrant Word with the very anti-Biblical ideas they claim to champion. What do you think Tommy?

The modern "gods" of naturalistic science, evolution and cosmology deny God and deny The Bible. Certainly some people twist God's words so that

• whatever scientists "discover" suddenly becomes
• exactly what The Bible "really" means for example

when scientists decided that the world had to be billions of years old these re-interpreters of God's Word announced that surprise surprise a day in Genesis is really 2295000000years or maybe DAY 1 was 5000000000years and DAY 6 was 3000000years. Whatever.

There are many other differences between science falsley so called and The Bible. You must be posting here for a reason.

I didn't state that. If you looked at the picture we are talking about, you woild realise what I mean by passing by Jupiter.

What you have said is that the ISS went to Jupiter.

What you meant to say, which is impossible by the way, was that the ISS was travelling on a plane parrallel to Jupiter with Jupiter being much further away.

You see, now there is no ambiguity just like the Word of God as laid out in The Holy Bible (KJV 1611)

I don't know, Thomas, the English school system is notorious for its educational failures. Most native Britons have only the most rudimentary knowledge of their own language. That's why they sold us all of their apostrophes.

Hmm, this is true, I had forgotten that since they opened the gates to immigration the standard of education had been lowered. I have also seen that the literacy rate in under 16 year olds is pretty dismal as well.

Oh, there isn't any ambiguity in the Bible? Anyone with any common sense can see it has absolutely no basis in fact, yet you still blindly accept it. The bible can drive anyone crazy with their personal interpretation of it. You do know what is written in the Bible is not from the Bible itself, however, from apologia that fit the text to make it fit a conventional wisdom. And, as you should know, these views change over time. You Christians thought the bible supported slavery. And, hopefully, a few decades from now, you will probably see homosexuality as a threat. Did you know the New Testament was written in a language Jesus and most of his contemporaries didn't even speak in! Words, phrases and passages are ambiguous or down right contradictory.

If you believe it's your God, and your God is infallible, you can't through out some of the rules just because you don't like them. Whatever you do, don't read the Bible. It abrogate prestigious, cruelty and murder. If you want to read it, read it because we need more Atheist.

All the 'planets', 'stars' are about the same distance from Earth, about 1,000 miles or so. Just the sizes of the disks vary, giving the illusion of differing distances.

A few months back, there was a scratch in the AMG. I had seen one of my girls near it earlier in the day, throwing rocks at feral cats. I asked her if she threw a rock and it hit the car. She said "No, I did not throw a rock at the AMG, I threw it at that cat". Of course, it was a lie. God knew, I knew and the security cameras knew, she was lying. She is suffering her punishment. Firstly, a guess is a lie? No, it's not, and people who had common sense would realise this. It's simply a guess; no area attempting to lie. I have a theory based on how educated you are, and I do advise you to read a dictionary. Talking about the theory, it's not a guess nor made up. It's based on intense study that is supported by massive amount of observation and equally massive amounts of experimentation. In science, a theory is a fact. There's observational evidence of it. In a galaxy, the gravitational mass is understood. From the motion of the gravity near its edge, we found that there was 400 times more estimated mass than was visible. Therefore, we believe there must be some non-visible form of matter which would provide enough of the mass and gravity to hold the cluster together. To sum up, the understanding of the motion of galaxies makes us, and me, understand the study of what we call dark matter.
