A season is a subset of a year. A cycle of seasons is a year. Therefore, it is not possible for a season to last longer than a year.

What you're saying is the equivalent of "hours that last for days". An hour is a subset of a day; it is not possible for an hour to last longer than a day.

Now, if you meant "a made-up world where each season lasts several Earth years", then that might make sense. But you didn't, and you're too dull to tell the difference.

1. George Martin tried to create a world of his own design. There are several religions in the book, but a few of them do promote this message. The faith of Rhllor in the book is similar to Christianity in that it is a strugle between the good god named Rhllor and the great other who's name must not be spoken. They even have a messiah, who will save everyone from the demons beyond the wall.

2. Unlike most fantasy series, magic is a very rare thing in this book. And in (almost) every instance of witchcraft being done, the person does not credit themselves but they credit their respective god. Also, children would not watch this show anyway, it is ratted R.

Also, Daeneryes Targaryen did technically "have an abortion" but it was involuntary. Daeneryes's hasband was dieing from an infected battle wound and the witch Mirr told her that she could save him.
