Now, I admit I'm not one to follow the latest in the "rock and roll" music, since I want nothing to do with that Satanic filth. But, from a fellow pastor, I've discovered a wonderful song that preaches the Gospel through the vile rock and roll medium.
Apparently, some years ago, some guy named George Michael recorded a song called "Faith". When you watch the video, you'll see the Christ-centered imagery quite clearly. When the video starts, some guy sings "I don't need no Bible...", which is then immediately turned off the jukebox, to be replaced by Mr. Michael singing "Faith". It's a slap in the face to all those non-believers! And the song keeps saying over and over...
"Cause I gotta have faith."
Throughout the whole song, Mr. Michael reiterates the importance of having faith. Isn't this what Paul taught us as well?
Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. (KJV)
Ephesians 2:8
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: (KJV)
Galatians 2:20
I am crucified with Christ: neverthless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. (KJV)
What a wonderful message, is it not?
As well, Mr. Michael is looking very manly and strong in the video. Clad in a leather jacket with Levi 501s, he's clearly a conservative, masculine Christian and not some limp-wristed sodomite atheist. Although, I will admit, there seems to be some excessive camera shots of Mr. Michael's derriere, but I don't think that is intentional, perhaps just lazy camera work on part of the production, or maybe I'm just getting too paranoid in my homophobia again, I'm not sure.
