Never was much of a trek fan myself, but hey, I'm not telling anyone what they should or should not be reading as far as spirituality goes.
And Mr Bathfire, if God runs the world and all that is in it then where is your free will? Where is your ability to decide for yourself that this particular version of Christianity is up your proverbial alley? You can't have the infalibility of God represented in man because man, as is expressed numerous times in the bible itself (let alone any current news program), is fallible to THE CORE. Certainly man has the capacity to do good, but to say that any time you do something decent is the work of God might be a stretch, no?
