Re: I humbly submit an opinion.

Never was much of a trek fan myself, but hey, I'm not telling anyone what they should or should not be reading as far as spirituality goes.

And Mr Bathfire, if God runs the world and all that is in it then where is your free will? Where is your ability to decide for yourself that this particular version of Christianity is up your proverbial alley? You can't have the infalibility of God represented in man because man, as is expressed numerous times in the bible itself (let alone any current news program), is fallible to THE CORE. Certainly man has the capacity to do good, but to say that any time you do something decent is the work of God might be a stretch, no?

Re: I humbly submit an opinion.

Psalm 12:6-7: The words of the LORD [are] pure words: [as] silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

The Bible clearly states that God will preserve His words. Do you believe that God keeps His promises?
This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. First of all, this is NOT a debate forum. Please read THIS thread before making an even bigger fool of yourself.

Secondly, while the internets might seem to be "free" to you, this particular corner of the internets is a privately owned Christian forum. The rights you have on this forum are listed HERE. Please contact a Pastor if you feel that any of your rights have been violated.

Finally, your unsaved opinions or tantrums are not even slightly of interest to us. We follow the Holy Word of God TO THE LETTER, and make no apologies for that. One of the most important commandments in the Bible tells us to avoid unsaved scum such as yourself. You wandered in here uninvited, and unwelcome.

I will pray that the Holy Spirit enter you and chase the demons out of your rectum and let Jesus fill you with His Grace. If you use your God-given free will to reject Christ and His temporary death on the cross for my sins, then you are sending yourself to hellfire.

Please make a thread of your own in the "Introductions" section of the forum, so that we can properly greet you. Tell us about yourself, your church, and how you came to find Jesus.

And if you're here to flame us, better take a look at THIS before making an even bigger ass out of yourself.

That's a nice bit of circular logic. The bible is an infallible version of God's Word because it says it is?

Secondly, I am not engaging in debate and your continued leveeing of infractions doesn't bother me. This is a conversation, I have not once raised my 'net voice' and gone all-caps on you people, nor have I issued a decree. I have asked pointed questions, no more.

When you started this thread, you were concerned about "accuracy of their transcriptions." Would you care to prove to me that the passage from the Psalms that I quoted is a mistranslation of the Hebrew?

Really? Really? You can't believe that people can put thier faith in the Word of God that has STOOD THE TEST OF TIME FOR 2,000 YEARS? You would rather have us belive 95% of what was written yesterday and has not withstood the test of the 24-hour news cycle of the liberal media?

Re: I humbly submit an opinion.

Well Randolph, man did put down the Word of God in the KJV Bible. Do you not think He would of been mighty vengeful if the scribes had not followed His exact intent? Would not the Wrath of God Almighty of been much more severe that the little blades of a mere King (no disrespect to King James but he is not in the same league as God)?

You have to realize how imbecilely flawed your childish logic is. Let me guess, you are a 'lit major'?
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Re: I humbly submit an opinion.

                        Randolph:
There are NO inadequacies or inaccuracies in the Bible.
There are many mysteries instilled in the Word beyond your human interpretation.
As the Garden Of Eden had a lawyer snake, and the Last Supper Table had a Judas rat-traitor,
so the Bible is filled with pitfalls and trapdoors for us frail humans to get (self absorbingly) side-tracked and swept into Hells' whirlpool.

The Word has hidden messages, apocryphal warnings, allegorical meanings.
What you see as inaccuracies, is really the Almighty's' flypaper for the flawed mind of an atheist
{sucks em' in like a black hole.... sticks em' to the kitchen table to twitch their hairy legs}.

The KJV Word is intelligently designed by a power higher than any small cranium can comprehend, and it serves a perfect form-follows-function design.
                        The reason the Lord divinely inspired the KJV scribes to intentionally inject mystery into the pages of His word is simply to narrow the righteous path for the Truly Saved;
and thus the Bible inherently restricts the Glorious Afterlife to those that have kept their eyes on the prize {ie: you ain't getting to Heaven by accident!}.

How can a lost soul, like yourself, ever hope to ascend the rocky path to the pearly gates and the streets of gold?
                        Glad you ask.
It is essential that you listen to someone who speaks and interprets His Word better than you can.
Summatious Answer: follow a True Christian church and their Holy inspired teachings, and most importantly seek a bona-fide Reverend as a mentor on your spiritual journey.

                        Is your soul worth it?
                        You betcha' it is.

I happen to be available soon, and my tithing schedule and love-offering fee base is quite reasonably priced.
I will be needing transportation commensurate to my religious standing, and of course housing , and per deim expenses.
We can discuss the details later, especially after you realize how lost your soul truly is.
