I just told you the video stated that... I'm not going to argue about what has been said exactly in the bible because you have read it a lot more than me. You may be right, but than the video was wrong.

This was what I was waiting for... You ASSUME that all events described in the bible did actually happen. However, what PROOF do you have that it wasn't just written by some guy who was a little koo-koo in the head? Where in the Bible does it say that everything in the Bible actually happened? That is wasn't to be interpreted? Where does it say that you are not allowed to think for yourself?

If you actually read the article, you will first of all see that it is the oil on the flowers that burns, not the bush itself.

For the sake of argument, let's say you are right. Didn't you just give a scientific explanation for the burning bush? Because in that case, He didn't actually set it on fire did he?

1. God did not write the Bible - people inspired by God did.
2. The whole Bible is not about "a guy." I'm assuming that you are referring to Jesus Christ, but, for your information - He is not the sole subject of the Bible.

Try reading the Bible before you criticize it. I thing you mentioned in some other thread (or maybe it was some other evolutionist idiot) that you are in mathematics? Then maybe start with Numbers

Okay, so I only saw the introduction video and didn't read the whole thread because it is way too long. I'm an atheist, let's just talk about this for a second.

First of all: The earth is only 6.000 years old? You have GOT to be joking on this one? The earth is MILLIONS of years old, and there is A LOT of evidence to support that.

Third: Evolution is a FACT. There is just no way to deny it? Skeletons of humans that are found even prove that, not even talking about the fact that we descend from monkeys. Men used to be a lot smaller, if you just go back like 5.000 years, the average height of a man was around 1m50. Now it's 1m80. How does your holy book explain that?

And last but not least: "This is the 21st century, so we must live according to a very old book." This just makes no sense? But seriously, no sense at all... This is one of the most ridiculous things I have heard in my entire life.

I have actually read the bible. Yes, I am an atheist and yes, I read the Bible... It's quite a nice book, it has some action in it, a lot of things mentioned in it have a deeper meaning if you interpret them right. However, beating the shit out of your wife and child, selling them, denying everything that's not in a 2000 year old book, ... That's not the way you're supposed to live, that's just being stupid and cruel.

There is tons of proof that the Bible is wrong. By common sense. We weren't born in that time but it's obvious the bible has been perverted and changed over the years. Plus, hey it was man made. Look in to the laws of physics and geology and you will soon see Noah ark is impossible for starters. the same goes for the vast majority of it.
