Hey atheists, if the earth is moving through space, why does the North Star stay fixed in the sky?

If the Earth is spinning through space, and the surface of the earth at the equator moves at a speed of 1,000 miles per hour, and also traveling around the sun with a supposed orbital speed of about 19 miles per second, or 67,000 miles per hour, then why do the star trails look like the Earth is not moving at all, but the stars are rotating? Why doesn't the North Star move? Why do we see the same constellations as man did thousands of years ago if the earth whips past them at such tremendous speed (Amos 5:8)? How are they supposed to fall if we blast past them (Mark 13:25)?

I love science. I'm a homeschooler and love to teach my children how Jesus created the world, but to call it "evidence"? "Facts?" To lay it as your epistemology? That's just silly. The Holy Bible has a perfect monopoly on truth. It has no contradictions; no fault.

Ok in all seriousness though to answer your retarded question. The Earth orbits the sun. For those stupid people that means it is rotating around the sun in circles. That is why we see the same constellations as man did thousands of years ago. That lot of questions doesn't prove atheists wrong it just proves you know nothing about how the world works.

Had you read the Bible, you would know that the earth does not move!

Psalms 104:5
Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever.

Had you educated yourself in science, you would know that the constellations change over time. Even if the atheist notion of constellations and stars and Old Age of the Earth were right, you would still be mistaken. We do not see the the same constellations as man did thousands of years ago. Here's an image that shows from the secular perspective how the Big Dipper has changed over time (and will change).



Now knowing the Bible nor anything about secular astrology is understandable but not excusable. Please, any kind of education would become you more than the ignorance. I'm praying for you.

That's just tautology. You're claiming the constellations remain the same because they remain the same. It doesn't make sense when you look at it objectively. It only works if you have faith in science. Have you never noticed when you're driving that the trees or telephone poles zip right past you? The stars don't do that, as one would expect if the earth is truly zipping around the sun.

Not quite. Everyone is born equal - that is, equal before the LORD in that mankind was born into sin (Romans 5:12). However, Jesus died on the cross for some of us so that we could be improved, all the way to perfection (1 John 3:9). So you might say True Christians™ are equal to each other and sinners are equal to each other, but True Christians™ are not equal to sinners any more than the Lemon Twist Game is equal to the child controlling it. Science education is really failing the next generation. At this rate it will have to be moved the ancient literature class. "Orbit" the sun? Then in the next sentence it's not "orbiting" any more it's "rotating" - in circles! Does your school library not have a dictionary? Usually there's a McGraw-Hill somewhere, or has the library been burned down? Next "circles" come up. Here's what Cornell's astrologist claimed only last year:

It's a laugh a minute except that all these have one thing in common. A great big horrible thing. They were all wrong. So for the previous 800 years when they said that a] the babies were in Limbo b] the prayers were getting through and eventually c] that the baby had now made it out, in fact they had no evidence for this and had been lying. Because whatever they said they had proof for previously is now something pronounced not to be there at all. You can't have evidence for something that doesn't exist, but they said they did and charged on that basis.

So-called scientists did the same thing. "Oh yes, your mouth has worms Mrs O'Gherkinshaw, you really should try another diet; fortunately we have a cure." Radium Theory kicks in here but clearly either the O'Gherkinshaw household lacks mirrors or the scientist is an obsessional charlatan. Both, probably, because we all know the cure is worse than the tooth worms and that tooth worms do not exist.
