First off, let's forget the imaginary notion of "science" vs. "religion". Both encompass too general of topics. So let me ask you which of the following are you trying to say?

Creation Science and Christianity are BOTH right.

Secular Science (Darwinism, old-earth geology, etc.) and Christianity are not both right. Only Christianity is.

Creation Science and Islam are not both right. Creation Science is, Islam is not.

    Etc.

I think what you mean to say is Secular Science and Christianity are the same. Which they are not. Is this what you're trying to tell us?

Not so much "the same" as they are two pieces to the same puzzle, two sides of the same coin.

If you put "maybe" in a sentence, you can write any amount of garbage.

Speculation of the future is ungodly.
If that sends me to Hell, then I guess that's where I should go!
Personally, I'd have thought that someone like you would want to be sent to hell for something a little more substantial than that but all ways down the broad path appear good to some.

No, one is the truth the other is a lie. How can they be on the same coin like you say. Now, Brother Bathfire brought it up earlier and you've failed to answer it: How can you reconcile Darwinist evolution with a literal Genesis creation?

Now, don't say, "Maybe God influenced evolution, and the Genesis account was a metaphor...". No. Because that's not reconciling the two, that's actually destroying both viewpoints! In Darwinian evolution, there is no room for God. Species change by natural selection, not by intelligent design!

So how can Darwinist evolution and a literal Genesis creation both be right without changing anything on either side?

"Magic" 1,000 years ago was definitely not possessions or any BS like that man, lol. I mean things that we can explain today...like fire, weather, bodily functions, anatomy. Those things and how they worked were commonly explained through "magic".

If I knew the answer to that I would probably be a billionaire lol. No one does.

Oh, they ARE two sides of the same coin whether you like it or not. We are ALL part of this world and everything in it, you are just as much part of science as I am, same goes for religion. We are all one and the same...know what I mean?

Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

                        Re: Religion and Science....uh oh!

I just noticed the lovely designation you bestow upon newbies on this forum. I am guessing it is meant as a challange to reveal the assurance I have that such an epitaph is unture. Thankfully, my Father in heaven knows and as that is all that matters, why be so hateful to someone merely seeking fellowship? And right off the bat?

My comment on the discussion thread: Often, the more people study science, the more it brings them overwhemingly to Intelligent Design. The only possible conclusion to be reached in the quest for scientific knowledge is that the genesis of the universe consists of a Creator God with an ultimate (perfect) plan for all levels of His creation from the macro to the micro and which (praise His Name) includes a plan for the salvation of sinful mankind. I think that the post at the beginning shows true insight into the nature of the reconcilliation between science and religion: the two are really two approaches to the same questions, namely where did we come from and why are we here???? Christians know the answers by faith and scientists search for them by empirisim (the antithesis to faith.) However, not all who study science are secular humanists; some of us don't need to experience our creator with our limited five senses to know that He is very real and at the center of all creation.
Luke 14:26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

This is exactly the case, friend. I started off labeled as unsaved trash a mere 3 months ago.

Insofar as science and religion agree with the King James Bible, they are both right. Insofar as they disagree with that source, they are both wrong. Yes, it is that simple.
This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.
