the brain works on sending electrical impulses and making sense of them due to a complex structure. Take glucose and starch for example the are both exactly the same thing C6 H12 O6 but due to a different structure they behave differently

These debates get pretty one sided when the only "proof" of creationism is the Bible. "God did it" isn't an intelligent response to anything. The Bible is a great story, so was To Kill a Mockingbird.
