Earth is a sphere.. not a perfect sphere, but close enough. I think it ia funny that ancient Greeks and romans figure this out by observing the stars, but when presented more concrete evidence from today you people shun the notion of a spherical earth.
How about if i were to sail west from San Diego and end up in Japan? On a square, flat map it would be impossible. And if i continued to sail west, I would hit India, africa, and then vagina. Don't try to tell me its magic, or that it doesnt work that way. I'm in the Navy, I've done it.
Also all comments are my view alone, i am not speaking on behalf of the navy. Im obligated to say that.

The problem you will always have is knowing what part of the Holy Bible can be trusted, and what parts are "wrong." You will always have this problem because you don't actually believe the LORD is Trustworthy. That's a shame. Your unbelief will land you straight into Hell, and there you won't care one whit about the shape of the earth. You'll wonder why you didn't listen to your heart when it begged you to let in Christ.

There's hope, though, even for you. Will you accept Jesus as your LORD and Master today?

Expressing your opinion would take the form, "I think they're stupid". Whereas, you said, "they're stupid", which is a statement of fact (as you see it). Unless you can prove that they are, indeed, stupid (and you have quite failed to do so so far), then your judgement is based on just as much substance as theirs, i.e. NONE.

Which is great, except if people refuse to see the truth (and stupidity is almost never the reason for that).

Then there's the fact that "scientific truth" is always changing. Newton's universe was the truth until Einstein came along, and now he's been shown the door due to our discoveries about quantum mechanics. "God doesn't play dice"? Oh, yes, He does.

Taking another tangent, one could very well say the the Earth is indeed flat, as far as gravity is concerned. It's space-time that is curved.

Are you finally beginning to appreciate that things are rarely as simple as they seem to be on first examination?
