It's the observation of that certain situation which has confirmed it to be accepted as the truth. It is not final and what is accepted as a fact in science may be modified in the future.

Throughout this thread I have given you all the evidence you need to show you the Earth is spherical, not round. You've edit the picture I've given you showing me, where you believe the Earth edge is. It can be clearly seen in the picture the Earth isn't flat, to which I have given reasons for (want links - I can give to you). Every time I raise the question, where is the edge, how do I get to the edge, you always ignore it because you don't have the answer to it.

There is a deceitful program called Photoshop, which I believe to be the work of the devil!!!! I've never really pondered the earth and planets to be flat or spherical, I've heard both and just assumed it was spherical until my arrival here on LBC. This has been a true GOD SEND, I have made this into a PowerPoint and showed my Pastor and he was so moved he is planning on showing it next month, along with a sermon he is working on. You see, everything that we are told, that is not by God or His word, is a lie. They lie to bury the truth, if the world was to find out the earth was truly flat and the bible states so, they would all KNOW God exists! They keep lies around to hold back God and His word, to keep them brainwashed to do as our government pleases. We have a Republican party that is trying to tell the world these things!

The eart is truly flat, much research says so. As for sailing "around" the world, I can walk AROUND in a circle, so have I walked around a sphere? No, I would've fell and landed on my head! DUH! So they are correct, they sail around our FLAT CIRCLE!

Photoshopped has become a synonym for fake picture these days. However, fake pictures and saying that picture lies more than thousand words are pretty much as old as photography itself.

I've visited those places, but I haven't seen any evidence - just more assumptions. BTW, did you know that ancient Babylonians were able to predict future solar eclipses, while working with a flat earth model?

Now I'm really confused. In the first sentence of that website that you provided about the discussion of facts and theories, it says: "facts usually remain the same and theories often change." and a little bit later, "This is the part of science which will be the same a century from now." So which one is it? Should I believe you or your sources?
