Earth is a sphere.. not a perfect sphere, but close enough. I think it ia funny that ancient Greeks and romans figure this out by observing the stars, but when presented more concrete evidence from today you people shun the notion of a spherical earth.
How about if i were to sail west from San Diego and end up in Japan? On a square, flat map it would be impossible. And if i continued to sail west, I would hit India, africa, and then [naughty word removed]. Don't try to tell me its magic, or that it doesnt work that way. I'm in the Navy, I've done it.
