It's quite simple. By NOT interpreting it. God knew what you would be thinking when He made the world (that's how we know He knows what He's talking about) and when He gave us The Bible.

The Bible explains:

II PETER 1
16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
17 For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:

The Bible is our guarantee that we have a robust understanding of science. Actual science, not the made up stuff such as flying saucers and astrology. God has explained so many things, knowing that mockers such as yourself would be turning up with delusions galore and magic tricks, and His explanations are always correct. The Bible records future history too. We know that Jesus will soon be returning and many events surrounding this the second most important historical event are taking place right now.

The Bible tells us that there will be wars. And there are wars, just as prophecied. But God did not stop tere. The Bible explains that there are to be rumours of wars too. There are rumours of wars. Another fulfillment of prophecy and requiring no interpretation. Just take a look at Syria. How did God know that would happen?

The Bible has an answer for that. God explains:

JOB 36
3 I will fetch my knowledge from afar, and will ascribe righteousness to my Maker.
4 For truly my words shall not be false: he that is perfect in knowledge is with thee.

Yes, The Bible contains many scientific facts which could not have been known at the time. These were revealed by God. For example something may be far away in space OR FAR AWAY IN TIME. It amounts to the same thing as we have now confirmed, but heathens will pervert any such understanding to their own ends. In this case they distort The Truth to mock God. The Bible forewarned us that this would happen. In this lovely Psalm, God teaches us more about His knowledge:

PSALM 139
2 Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.
6-9 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it. Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;
12 Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.

Again, in verse 1 we have LOCATION IN TIME. God knew what you would be thinking way back in 979BC and provided an answer.

The Bible really is quite up-to-date and our certain instruction manual for life from the maker Himself.

Check out verses 6 – 9 LOCATION IN SPACE. Hey Mr Einstein, not so funny now is it? God knew about local and non local "universes" and information from this source is actually reliable. Unlike false "science" with it's phlogistons and phrenologies and spontaneous generations and luminiferous æthers and do I really need to go on in a few more years the list will have expanded with evolutions and outer spaces and psychologies. What God has made God is sufficient to explain.

And in The Bible He has done just that.

It's been proven over and over, and it's factually incorrect to say the Earth is flat. Maybe actually look at the evidence and educate yourself, 7th grade is a good start guys!

To the guy who postulated the tennis ball and rice grain experiment: you, sir, clearly aren't the sharpest tool in the shed. Allow me to explain why your experiment is flawed.

One, if the Earth *is* flat, how do you know gravity is pulling you upwards as you stand on the Earth upside down? You don't know.

That having been said, let me explain something. And he who has ears, let him hear.

If we're standing on a sphere, common consensus tells us if we're on the equator or close to it (really, anywhere but the true 'top' and 'bottom' of said sphere), one is standing on the 'side' of the earth. the problem is that this is our perception of the earth. our brains love to organize and categorize things. In space, there is no defined bottom, top, or side.


Now. If I stand at the equator with a tennis ball and a grain of rice, and palce the grain of rice on the side of the tennis ball using my finger and let go, it won't travel towards the horizon, which is where you all say would be down, but rather it travels towards the earth, a direction of travel which, if observed from space, would seem to be sideways, but on earth it is observed as 'down'.

Time for a lesson in language. 'Christian' means a literal 'little Christ', as in, babushka doll Christ. We're supposed to be *that* similar to Christ insofar as his principles. Let me put it into simpler terms here. When one becomes sick, he or she may call a doctor to help them become well again. When I visit my doctor, I do not expect to be asked "Oh man tell me just howww did you become so sick? You must've breathed in bad air or somethin' 'cause you be lookin' ill! How the hell could you do this? You're gonna be sick for the rest of your miserable life!"

Instead, I would expect my doctor to treat me with empathy, discernment, wisdom, and care.

Jesus himself said he didn't come for the healthy, but for the sick.

if God is so great, then surely his creation, too, must be wonderful. it is a good thing to desire to learn more about God's creation, which is what we call science. Newton, Copernicus, Kepler, Michelangelo, Brahe, Boyle -- these are just a handful of Christians who strove to learn more about God's creation. How much greater our capacity to praise God if we fully understand just how complex his creation is, but instead you reject the studying of God's creation. How blind of you.

you are also mistaken in your quest to convert people. Your job is to preach the gospel, the good news of the new covenant, to the people of the world, and that is your ONLY job. God has given you NO authority over people's free will, which is something he himself gave to them.

He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned." mark 16:15-16


note that this says absolutely nothing about your power to change people's minds, but rather your duty as a Christian to simply spread the news that the New Covenant exists.
