Re: ALL SCIENCE IS EVIL, AND FROM SATAN! (aka THE EARTH IS FLAT)
Wow!! When I first saw this forum I didn't know whether or not it was a joke. I would really like to touch the fact on hour airplanes fly, but I feel it might be too complicated for you to understand; given that it is considered to be part of rocket science. Let just put it this way, ever see a leaf or such being lifted into the air from the wind; or is that sorcery as well?
That part that really bugs me is that people still believe the Earth is flat and the center of the universe. At the time that the Bible was written this was the current known science, or natural philosophy as they called it, so it would make sense that they would portray the world as flat; does that mean the western world does not exist because that is what those ancient maps would tell us?
There are endless ways to prove the Earth is spherical, my main challenge is for you to prove the Earth is flat. But here is some food for thought...
For those of you who live near the north pole, why is it there is no sunlight for month during the winter and constant sunlight for months during the summer. In addition, if you visit at the right time of the year the sun will follow the horizon completely in a circular manner. This shows that the Earth is spherical considering no one else on Earth experiences this at that given time. Seasons would not exist if the Earth was flat either.
Here is an experiment for someone in the Northern hemisphere who knows another in the Sothern hemisphere. Or in your case the upper and lower halves of the world about the equator. Go to your toilet and flush it, note the direction the water flows. Now call your friend in the other half of the world and have them do the same thing, they will say it flows in the opposite direction as yours. This is called the coriolis effect, which is a product of the spherical Earth spinning about its axis. How would you explain that, worldwide sorcery or something?
This concerns me that people think the way you do. You can still believe the Bible while interpreting from what may be written by man and what is theology. I offer the challenge to disprove to me any scientific question you may have.
