Absence of evidence is in fact evidence of absence. This is exactly why most people don't believe in leprechauns, unicorns, Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, etc. The burden of the proof lies with the person making the claim of existence. They are the ones that claim something. Claims need irrefutable proof. You guys claim god exists, then provide no supporting evidence. Therefore we dismiss your claim. As for God, the Biblical character, reality contradicts most of what is in the Bible, which is evidence he doesn't exist. No believer has ever substantiated his claim with actual verifiable evidence. There is no corresponding evidence which substantiates God's existence. Therefore, there is no reason to consider God as anything more than an abstraction, an idea which occupies the minds of you people - minds which have themselves arisen because of natural processes which occur within our living physical brains.

So in other words, absence of evidence that God does not exist, is by your words definete evidence that God infact exists. Thank you for proving me right once again.

On another note, you might have noticed how stupid that piece of text is, if you had taken time to actually read it through instead of copy/pasting it. Do you have any original thoughts of your own, or does it just make you feel smarter when you copy stuff you do not understand yourself and present them as your own thoughts?

Okay, let's say you didn't made that up and continue to the next question: If Cain's wife is Adam and Eve's descendant, that means she is related to them by blood, just like Cain is. That means that Cain and his wife are blood related too. I thought incest in considered forbidden, is it not?

Chronological order, boy. Dear me! The verses that forbid incest come after the Flood. Was the incest that followed the flood also against your much harsher morals than God's?

Of course, it still does not make any kind of contradiction. You have to remember that Adam and Eve were perfect in every way. Only after Eve (as a woman) brought evil into paradise, started the downfall of man. As noted before, incest become forbidden only after the flood.

Also, before the flood people still lived commonly to about 900 years old. That means that Cains wife needed not to be his sister. Cain and Abel were not the only sons you know. So Cain's wife could have been his niece (or one even from next many generations) from his numerous sisters and brothers.

In other words, that means, that the Ten Commandments don't apply before God gave them to people.
