there are three obvious flaws in your logic, one for each experiment.

when we jump, we com straight back down to our starting point because gravity pulls attracts external objects to the larger masses center. the analogy you used to substantiate your jump experiment was that of a person standing in the back of a truck. if you are in a truck which is moving at 50m/ph then becaue you are in the truck you are also moving with the truck at 50m/ph, because you are relying on the truck to pull you along with it, when you jump (straight up) you are then relying on your own energy to continue moving at such a speed, to do so would imply you are flying which we all know is impossible, this is why you might fall out the back of the truck, but lets think for a minute, lets hypothetical seal the person in the back of the truck so that the person is a pressurized capsule, when they jump this time they will land back down in the same position without falling out the back. also if there is no gravity, why do we fall back towards the ground?

the balloon experiment is nonsense and i will debunk it by being very brief, comparing a balloon to the earth is like comparing a banana to a dolphin. the only attribute shared by the balloon and our 'round earth' is the shape. also i can and have before made pieces of paper stick to a balloon through the generation of static electricity. this can be easily done, take some nylon cloth and rub the balloon vigorously for a minute or so, it will make your arm hairs prick up and it will be sufficient enough to attract and hold little bits of paper to its surface. this is why your argument is flawed.

climbing a mountain will not help you perceive the shape of the earth but would indeed help disprove it being flat, if i climb up mount warning why cant i see across to the world, how come when i look horizontal to the earth (at a tangent) i see the stars, if the earth was flat i would have to look upwards to see the stars.

please explain how the sun and moon work on a flat earth.

Alrighty. It's hard to take this place seriously because you've all apparently failed what are now middle school concepts from scientific facts. (Science, btw, isn't against religion. Science has shown many things from the bible to be true, just nothing magical or mystical. Science is simply the agglomeration of unbiased experimentation for the advancement of the human understanding; no matter your race, religion, creed, etc. [makes you lot look like a bunch of haters for segregating against others...oh, that's because you are...moving on then])

I live a wonderful life, have wonderful relationships with my family, friends and colleagues. I have never had a job that I didn't love, and I've never needed for anything. There have been few things that I allowed myself to want, point in fact, and I always get them through making intelligent decisions and hard work. I've brushed against deaths door on more than one occasion, and I've saved more than one life from being destroyed. Never have I considered these events that occur to a lot of people to be something they are not; proof in some fantastical story created, told and believed to be true by other humans before me. Some of us are larger than that, but some of us needed others to tell us what morals to follow in life. I'm sorry the followers on this forum fall into the later category for the time being, and I really hope that you can find some way to benefit society someday, and stop spreading this ignorance and hate.

Granted, for the most part, that the people on here are nut-jobs and display little, if any, understanding of the world outside their little community.

However, you informed them that they must be able to work out which things out there are sources that they can trust yet your sources are both Wikipedia, a site with a disclaimer saying that not all of their information is accurate. I would not accept reports from my students who cite Wiki as their references because of this. And even these guys will shoot you down over it.

Have you checked the additional links that go with these pages? Perhaps a more time honoured source would be more viable and hold a little more credence. Although we all know that "Nature" published an article that showed that the "Shroud of Turin" could only have been caused by Jesus. This peer-reviewed well respected journal had its reputation dragged through the mud on this one. So doesn't this even make you speculate on the credibility of the information published in this, most trusted, source
