i have a degree in biomedical science and engineering. I am also a Catholic. How do i balance science and religion? easily, first you cant take every thing in the bible literally since most of the old testament were stories to aid in mans understanding of God. As far as creation, consider this. God created every one equal. if all animals, not only man are Gods creatures then for us all to be equal then we must of been in the beginning exactly the same. ie a single celled organism. for those with out a science degree consider an organism like bacteria. then God enabled mutations with each generation. through millions of years that single celled organism developed into a diverse number of organisms. then when God was satisfied that one of those organisms was capable of thought and communication with each other he began speaking to them. any sooner such as talking to an orangutan (which we developed from) would of been pointless.

I find it hard you have a degree, perhaps you should have studied on how to use English and computer keyboards.
