I am a French student, about to be an engineer, and I have been working a lot on gravitation forces, and a lot of other interesting things like this. This I why I was interested in your article, and I just wanted to give you my opinion about your experiments (please allow me to think what I want without condamning me to eternal damnation, I thinkintolerance is some sort of a sin).

For the first one, it won't be very hard : when you are in a train, it goes at a very high speed and when you jump, you just fall at the very same place you jumped. It is just the same phenomena on the earth (in fact, a force created by the rotation of the earth exists, but can only be observed if you let a ball fall from somewhere high enough (like the Eiffel tower).

For the second experiment, you just have to know the gravitation force depends mainly of the mass of the attracting object (the earth or the balloon). You should know the earth is huge, this is why it is very heavy (about 6.000.000.000.000.000.000.000.000 kg, when your balloon's weight is less than 1 kg). The force created by the balloon exists but the one created by the earth is much stronger, and this is why the paper falls. About the Australian people not falling, this is because the wieght is directed to the center of the earth.

For the third experiment, you just have to go to the sea. If the earth was flat, you could see on the other side of the ocean, which is not the case. There is an horizon line, and this is because the earth is a sphere.

Just to conclude, I would like to add that the spheric form of the earth explains a lot oh others phenomenons like seasons, temperature differences between north and south, siphons formed in the bathtub, or the fact astronauts can see a sphere when they are in the space. Two things.

First, although it is clear that anything starting with "homi" (plural of "homo") is of the devil, so True Christians would never touch it, even your Scientistician-infested Wikipedia clearly states that in some cases ad hominem arguments can be valid:

Second, even if someone were to use an inadmissible version of an ad hominem argument (and no True Christian would), it would certainly not make you "more right".

The only thing that could to that is if you relented, read the KJV 1611 of the Bible and accepted Sweet Baby JESUS as your personal Savior.

Then your persecution could reassure you that you were on the right path:

First, I thought the original poster was being extremely sarcastic. Then I saw the replies, and at first thought of those as being sarcastic as well. And finally, I saw the arguments between the people with common sense and people blindly following a man, who obviously is not Jesus.

A Reverend is not the same as a scientist. Science is not "the Devil." You people throw that around so much that it has lost its true meaning. SATAN is the devil.

Now, to counter all of the Reverend's thoughts. (Forewarning: I expect you to use the dictionary if you don't understand a word. I'll try to keep it simple).

1. Jump. If you were in the bed of a moving truck and you jumped, you would land in the bed of the truck. It's called momentum. You have inertia in the same respect as the truck. The only thing that would push you out is wind resistance.

2. Blow? You're flat out wrong in every way with this "experiment" my good Reverend. Using your theory, which I tried, the paper stuck to the bottom of the balloon due to static electricity.

However, the reason people are able to stay connected to the "bottom of the world," which I believe to be a very selfish way of putting it, is due to gravity. Don't try to say you don't believe in gravity. What else would it be that pulls you back to the ground? It's gravity. The balloon does not have enough mass to have a gravitational pull on the paper, such as the Earth has enough to pull people to it.

3. Get High! I'm going to add my own 2 cents to this bit. Have YOU ever seen the world Reverend? Ever been in a plane? Ever been in a tall building? Ever been to the ocean? You can CLEARLY SEE THE CURVATURE OF THE EARTH. The ocean's horizon is curved. You would literally be blind not to see this. Do you think scientists and astronauts make up videos of a spherical Earth for no good reason? Do you really just believe it's a conspiracy? Why does the Sun rise from the East, and then set in the West every day? Every single day.
