according to the opinion I quoted at the very beginning, being rape-worthy seems to have very little to do with dressing modestly but rather with being pretty or ugly (I'm referring to "I don't understand how anybody could rape a goth? Look at how ugly they are..."). are you trying to tell me True Christian women are all so ugly nobody would feel tempted by them? in my book, a pretty girl is a pretty girl whether she's wearing a tube-top or she's buttoned-up to her chin. and if indeed the stories you read about the rape rampages were actually occurring then they must have affected only non-Christian victims ("No TRUE Christian™ woman would be raped") so what's the concern here?

I can attest to that. As a True Christian™ woman myself, I have never been raped nor will I ever be raped. My modest and Godly attire brings all attention to my clean kitchen, in which I stay most of the day, obviously. Even my dear husband hardly looks at me, so much does my faith emulate from my pores.

Logically, anyone who has been abused does not have God's guarantee of safety because they do not have Jesus in their hearts. Not really.

As far as your verse, please read it in context. This is about punishing sin. This is what God does because He is a Just God. Devaluing another man's daughter by despoiling her when she's already betrothed is the sin in this scenario. I've bolded the verse you quoted, in addition to the other verses that are pertinent to the context:

Deuteronomy 22

13If any man take a wife, and go in unto her, and hate her,

14And give occasions of speech against her, and bring up an evil name upon her, and say, I took this woman, and when I came to her, I found her not a maid:

do you even have the faintest idea what exactly my standards of beauty are? I'd love to hear about them, it's always good to learn something new about oneself. strange you get so offended when I say a woman buttoned up to her chin may still be perceived as pretty. unlike the lady from a couple of posts back, I don't think it's a good thing if a husband no longer notices his wife. marital relations help a couple maintain their sacred bond. isn't the body a gift from God? on a side note, since you put so much emphasis on looks and how they determine what others think of us, purely based on your avatar I'd think you're either a goth or a manga fan. perceptions can be misleading
