Atheism is the lack of belief in gods. Atheism literally means "without god."

Agnostisism is the belief that god cannot be prooved, or disprooved. They await proof from either side before choosing.

Actually atheism literally means "without BELIEF in god".

The "a" at the beginning means without. The "ism" at the end is used as belief in doctrine or philosophy.

Leaving in the middle "the", which is shortened for "theos" which means (God).

Giving you a-the-ism. Without-god-belief.

To be serious a minute, in the episcopal (anglican) church women have been ordained as priests for over twenty years now ... our presiding Bishop in the US is a woman ...
