I have on my property what I think is some sort of indian city or something. There are sharp rocks and bones and cobblestones all over the place. So many that I gave up on trying to get it all out of the dirt so I can plant real crops instead of soybeans which don't pay hardly anything. I scraped the topsoil down 4 inches with a skidder and it's still saturated with debris. All the trash these naked savages left behind is appalling. I thought they were supposed to respect the earth or the sky spirit or whatever it is they worshiped.

Christ only know what they called their false belief Brother Marshall. Probably some nonsense dreamed up by crazy men living in caves in the desert. A Christian just has to laugh.

I am with you on your disgust for the American Indian's poor stewardship of the land. Everywhere you go they have mounds of their rotting garbage they piled up over the centuries. It is testimony to Christ's love for us Chosen Elect that the Americas were still habitable when our ancestors arrived.

Time to reclaim our FREEDOM from the “Mullah in Chief” and his growing activist voter hoards of socialists, communists, anti-Semites, anti-Christians, atheists, radical gays and lesbians, feminists, illegal immigrants, Muslims, anti-Anglo whites and others.

          Re: Indians

As a gal that grew up on a farm, I can appreciate your needed to clear the land for crops. However, you may want to look up the laws in your state for Indian burial grounds and also see if there could be some money to be made selling the site for archeological purposes. You never know, it might be like striking oil. I have several Pre-Columbian funerial pots (art) worth about 25K. I have seen native American arrowheads go for hundreds of dollars and some of the rare pots and items, sell for thousands. Just a heads up. Better to do some more careful "digging" before you decide it's worthless heathen junk. Someone out there might be willing to pay quite a bit depending on what you have found. Of course, you could just be opening a whole can of worms too if it really is a burial ground. Hey, but who would be the wiser?

Digging up pre Civil War black cemeteries is also a problem in South Carolina. Last year, during the construction of a strip mall, a cemetery was discovered. The developer just kept digging, but a black worker at the site finally complained to the State Archives Commission and the construction was immediately halted.

It was discovered that the site was a burial ground for black people that operated from the 1830's through 1897. Few of the graves were marked. There is now an effort afoot to have the place restored and made an historic site. The strip mall, thankfully, will not be built.

I hope Marshall is sensitive to the fact that a burial ground, no matter who might be buried there, is sacred.

                No, it's just indians.

I used to shoot those pots all the time as a kid coming up. Me and my cousins would dig them out just to shoot them with our 22s. I know if you break the sharp tips off then the rocks skip great on a pond. My cousin Bernie got a 15 skipper out of one back in 72. It went clear across to the other side.

I found an arrowhead the other day, but left it lay. Picking the arrowhead up just didn't seem right, since a white man probably died due to it.

                    Re: Indians

I agree that it's pretty much just Indian junk (Funny how environ-mental-ists always say that they are prime examples of being in harmony with nature!), however there's a lot of rich liberal museums that pay good money for that trash.

It's just like the old adage: One man's trash is another man's treasure!

I think you should get a couple of your marine buddies, rent a backhoe, and just start your own archaeological dig. Collect as much junk as you can, throw it in some big black trash bags and haul that crap in the back of your pick-up to the museum.

Of course, there is always eBay, too.

Landover Christian University Archaeology and Business Department can be contacted too - we have useful and 'understanding' contacts is The Dept. of Indian Affairs. If the stuff is from the Catawba, Pee Dee, Chicora, Edisto, Santee, and Chicora-Waccamaw, it will not be as valuable as if it were from extinct tribes. But, as Cat Lady says, this could be a better crop than oil.

I don't rent backhoes because I have three Cases already. Two run. The third one I busted a ram pushing a car into the creek to shoot at. I use it for parts now.
Every year I get bothered in town by folks wanting to dig up my fields for that stuff. I tell them there isn't anything out there. I don't want to be the guy in the gunstore whose land was an indian trash dump. We have one guy whose land has an honest to God Confederate cemetery on it. Now thats something to be proud of.

Down here in New Zealand the only Indians we have; munch on curry, build dairies on every street corner, wear dots on their heads and worship demons .
