Paintball

Is it wrong to play paintball? I play it every weekend but im not sure if God would see it as a unrighteous path. I mean is there anything wrong with it?
I dont play it to think im a bad guy shooting people. Its just a fun sport, Christian groups come out all the time and play it. So is it wrong?

Paintball is a manly sport where a group of friends can get together and experience teamwork and pain.

It's not like a video game where a single psychopath can spend hours alone seeing humans dismembered over and over. Paintballs can draw blood, of course, but it's a different spirit altogether.

I stock a variety of paintball weapons in my shop and used to play a lot with my youth group in Kansas.

Many of those boys went on to illustrious careers in the military where the practice and pain tolerance they learned from paintball aided them in blowing away camel jockeys.

Christians have all kinds of fun! Potluck, Bible study, prayer circles, hayrack rides and BBQ, Bible trivia, Bible games, and singspirations!

We enjoy Glorifying GOD. GOD enjoys being glorified so it's a win/win situation if I ever saw one.

Secularists enjoy things that only bring themselves pleasure, such as drugs, masturbation, abortion, homosexuality and rape.

There have been some excellent points made in this thread by the True Christians(tm) about paintball.

I would only like to add that one should refrain from using a full spectrum of different colors so as to avoid dehumanizing one's opponent and making him look like a homosexual wearing its rainbow uniform. This is considered unsportsmanlike. In fact, it is just un'manlike in general. I would rather my opponent used real bullets than make me into a homosexual!

Paintball is just one more form of marksmanship training.

Anything that can help improve one's aim for Jesus is okay.

Though, I, too, prefer real bullets.

As much as I hate to pull the logic card because it can only get you so far, it actually is applicable here. And it's always hilarious to beat the atheists at their own game.

If a Christian group does something for their own personal amusement, it must be glorifying God otherwise it wouldn't be Christian in the first place LOGIC!

Of course, many pansy liberal sissy Christians will do stuff for their own amusement. They are sinning. Catholic priests who rape choirboys for their own amusement are also sinning. Arabs who slam themselves into the sides of buildings while flying planes for their own amusement are ALSO sinning. See how this works?

Nobody enjoys abortion, not all normal people do drugs, homosexuality is not a condition, it is a lifestyle that is once again, not done by everyone, and rape, is DEFINITELY not done by all secularists. I don't feel like I need to retort against masturbation seeing as doctors and normal folks alike agree it's normal and natural. Less Christian rants please! You are not perfect, so stop pretending. See that's what you sickularists do, you declare sins "natural and normal" so therefore it's okay. If women didn't enjoy abortions, why would they get them? Homosexuality, masturbation, rape, hey it's all good. After all, the animals do it.

Christians glorify God in everything we do.

The statement is correct, but you have misunderstood the spirit by pulling it out of context. Allow me to explain:

An atheist plays paintball because it is "fun".

A Christian plays paintball because it gives him the opportunity to improve his marksmanship for slaughtering God's enemies, and because it allows his Christian team to beat a non-Christian team and demonstrate God's power.

Similarly:

An atheist helps a fallen old lady up because it's "a nice thing to do". He may then take her billfold as his reward.

A Christian helps a fallen old lady up because it's what God would want him to do, and because it is an opportunity to glorify God and to witness to the old lady and be sure she knows about Jesus.

An atheist returns a man's wallet, cash intact, because "it's the right thing to do". Unless the atheist decides otherwise, in which case he keeps the cash and tosses the wallet.

A Christian returns a man's wallet, cash intact, because God has commanded him not to steal, and because it is an opportunity to glorify God and to witness to the man and be sure he knows about Jesus.

An atheist provides first aid to strangers at a car accident because "they need help". And because they have jewelry which he can remove during CPR.
