Freehold residency is by invitation only, but it is worth aspiring to. You wouldn't believe how living in an exclusionary TRUE Christian(tm) community has revolutionized my existence. But in Freehold, we go on regular Wicca hunts, we have designer stoning buckets for the lady folk, and I am allowed to cut down all the trees I want (at least, that is my understanding).

First of all it is spelled Amish not Amnish. Also why the Amish do not like there picture taken is because they believe it is the same as a graven image this is also why the girls dolls do not have faces on them. About them not having electricity they believe having electric power is worldly. Also on the beard issue that you say makes them look like they are Jewish, after a male of the church is married he grows a beard and a long beard is a sign of a adult Amish man. Why they do not have mustaches is because it has been associated with the military which they forbid. On the Amish men wearing black hats which you say makes them look Jewish, they only wear the black felt hats while in public at home or on the farm they wear straw hats. About the plain dress they dress modestly and do not wear bright colored clothes because they are worldly. I have been studying the Amish for many years and know far more about them then you do.
