I have posted about this before, while The Great Prophet, Bobby Henderson (Pasta Be Upon Him) did indeed write the letter to the Kansas school board in 2005, there is much evidence to show that Pastafarians existed long before that.
There is also evidence that the people of South America knew of Our Lord Noodle in accent times.

You may have grounds to say he was not a practising Jew, but he was still a Jew, sort of like Woody Alan or Ayn Rand.

Your "religion" may have more followers and my money then mine, but that does not make its "God" any more real.

Money and numbers are part of any legimate religion. And then there is the origin.

I think I read yours started in Kansas. Now, we all have to admit, Kansas is not the brightest porchlight on the block. People there can be suckers for whatever comes down the pike.

True Christians™ go back to the creation of the universe. Our people were there. They killed off people from other religions to save them. Now, we're the BIG of religions and have the money to show for it.

I'm just suggesting maybe Mr. Flying Pasta should come over to our side.

Ah, that's the thing. I do not refer to people by their (supposed) ethnicity (as it would only reveal my prejudices [I hope I've lost the last of those], and not anything about them). As well, ethnicity as a concept (one that I'm leery of, even when conceived with the best intentions) is only safely applied to large groups, not individuals (who all have unique histories).

I had hoped that followers of the FSM would be as enlightened.

And a little advice: for accuracy's sake, when researching a group, treat any information that group provides about themselves as suspect (self-interest may lead to mis- or even disinformation being given). For example, would you trust anything a Catholic priest told you about the sex abuse scandals rocking that institution?

Yes a Pastafarian born of a Jewish mother would be a Jewish Pastafarian, an ethnic Jew whose religion is Pastafarianism.

One can be ethnically Jewish without following the Jewish faith.

I had already given you examples of well know Jews who do not follow the Jewish faith.

Would you care to explain how ones parentage could possibly fall within the scope of self-determination?
