What's wrong with you people? I can't believe it, most of you are so sick and twisted because of this terrible religion that you deem rape OK? Are you kidding me? If a 40 yr. old man raped a 13 yr. old girl, that's ok, but to be homosexual, like myself, i am condemned to this "hell"? If any of you religious fanatics have any education at all besides your crazy cult, then you would know that religion has only ever brought bad things onto the world. Remember the Dark Ages? Yeah, that's when religion had it's chance to rule the world, look how that worked out. Even though i'm a bit late, i just want to say, that this girl should press charges, and that horrible man should be sentenced to lifetime for ruining this girls life. She'll never be the same, and all you wack job religious freaks care about is trying to get them married? One of the first posts i saw was some lady something along the lines of what i just did, and then some idiot asking if she had scripture to reinforce/w/e that, and i agree completely with what she said. She doesnt need scripture from this book of lies. It's the law. And the law is more powerful than any of your pretend gods or phoney saints. I went to a catholic/christian (wtf is the difference even) for a couple years, and i learned that those religions are supposed to be about faith and love. yes. LOVE. Rape is the exact opposite of love.

How can you say that you know that your religion is the right one? You're not even the MAJORITY anymore, Muslims got that. You can look at it like this: Regular logic ---> If you say something, and expect a rational, logical person to believe you, you provide proof. But this is how religion goes --->

No it is not ok. Rape is bad. God's punishment for the rapist is that he has to marry the girl.

First of all, the rapist should be sent to jail, and as far away from the girl as possible, and second of all, marriage is more a punishment to her, and not him.

Oh nonsense! He has defiled the victim -- nobody is going to want her for a wife. Therefore he has to do right by her, and marry her.

You're setting up a straw man argument by making it look like we advocate a position we don't believe in. For the last time, rape is wrong! It is a sin. It even says so in the verses just preceding the one in question.

Deuteronomy 22:25-27
But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that lay with her shall die.
But unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbour, and slayeth him, even so is this matter: For he found her in the field, and the betrothed damsel cried, and there was none to save her.

Right there in verse 25 it says only the man should die. The man. Verse 26 says you will do nothing against the woman. Nothing. Verse 27 reaffirms the woman is the victim in this case.

So here you have it: Scripture which advocates death for rapists. If anything, the Bible is less tolerant of rape than liberals like you. The Bible says a rapist should be put to death; Godless liberals think the rapist should just go to prison and be allowed to live.

How can you be so sure that nobody would want to marry her? I'd like to remind you that we're not living in Jerusalem, and this is not B.C. or A.D.
This is the twentieth century and things have changed, madam. We're in America, and in this country law dictates that a victim of rape should not have anything more to do with the rapist, for her own mental and physical well being. Now, if you want to go to a place where the latter what you wrote is more common, i suggest you take a visit to Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, The Emirates, or Israel. They all seem pretty fine with this.
Also, they might also be happy to rearrange your insides. Religion of peace, kill all nonbelievers.
