John 8:7 "So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her."

Two key points here:

1) Jesus was NOT telling them not to punish her. He was condemning them for judging her hypocritically (a theme He also covers in Matthew 7), as He knew that none of them were without sin.

Matthew 7:5 "Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye."

2) The only way to be without sin is to accept Jesus, and be baptized, because then all of your sin is washed from you by the Blood of the Lamb:

Acts 22:16 "And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord."

As you can see, the True Christians™ here are free to cast stones, since they are free of sin by the grace of Jesus.

Look you little tramp, first of all, I wouldn't let a bum rape me, but almost all people who get themselves raped could have avoided it if they had just been more careful and dressed more modestly. I recently received a letter from a concerned parent. In the letter she told me that her daughter had been raped, but was refusing to marry her rapist as per Deuteronomy 22:28-29. The stupid girl actually wants to press charges on the man!

Not only that, but that she also plans to kill the poor unborn baby her rapist had given her! Sickening! Have young people today got NO morals?

Any and all advice on what I can say to convince this girl to do the right thing would be great. Should I start with the basics ?

"Whore, you'll burn in Hell for all eternity - unless you marry your rapist"??

Or should I go for a more subtle approach??

You claim to be a Christian, right? If you don't believe the Bible, which declares that be Saved you have to believe EVERY WORD and obey EVERY INSTRUCTION contained therein (James 2:10 "For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all."), how can you make that claim at all? If you reject the Bible, how do you even know about Jesus?

If you have a problem with the contents of the Bible, I suggest you take it up with God. The Bible says God is omnipotent, and that means He can do anything. If the Bible didn't say exactly what He wanted it to, He (being omnipotent) could change every Bible in the world so that it did. Therefore, the FACT that He hasn't done so proves that the Bible says what God wants it to.
