This is a clever attempt to cover up the fact that the "old book" is actually the Holy Scripture, and therefore it cannot be morally wrong to follow it to the letter.

Does that mean that the foetus, if aborted, deserved to be aborted? Also, I'm really really dubious about everything happening because you deserve it. Clearly though, you are ''saved'' so it must be right to follow these insane rules.

Okay, so we need to go read the Bible "properly," but the Bible has been corrupted by men and cannot be taken literally... So why should we pay attention anything it has to say at all?

You say that God wouldn't do bad things to people unless they deserve it but what about children who are raped or murdered did they deserve it?

GOD slaughtered a whole mess of children in Egypt in the book of Exodus in order to motivate Pharaoh to release the Israelites from captivity.

I read the Bible in my church and I'm currently reading the OT in KJV and I know my God and I know His infinite love for his children. People have their agency and those that choose eternal death are going to HELL. The Lord will not justify the least degree of sin. Fornication is of the DEVIL. You contradict yourself constantly. I fear I may be dismissed as a God-hating liberal scumbag upon posting this (which would be hard to argue because of my username), but I have seen some remarkable things in my life. Acts of utter cruelty, bigotry, small-minded and selfishness. The attitudes on here appall me. When I first read this I laughed, because I thought people were posting mockingly-extreme views to parody what in some cases can be a tolerant religion.

I know many a church-goer, many a person whose life has been enriched by their faith, and their belief in God - a supposedly loving and forgiving entity who cares for us as his own children. I am agnostic - I used to be atheist, but I figured an open mind doesn't hurt (take note of this please), and I hope with all my heart that what you people consider the correct way of living is massively off the ball. I am ashamed to belong to the same species as you, to have evolved from the same primates as you, to share a planet with you and to orbit the same sun as you.

Regarding the content of this forum - I sincerely hope the victim of this crime is cast out onto the street, and banished from her home. Not because I think she is a whore, but because whatever fate may befall her must surely be better than to grow up thinking that she was to blame for such a thing. She would at least be in a position to live her life freely, and free of the intolerant cesspit that you would surely condemn her to.

God wants her to marry him. God has brought greatness out of trauma before. Remember all those slaves in Egypt? For four hundred years Israelites were enslaved for the crime of rejecting God, but in His mercy, He used that to teach us the value of obedience.

If a woman marries her rapist, God may bless her or He may use that as an example to bless someone else. Who are we to say what God will do with anyone of us?
