After all, what use is a table with a big ax cut in it?
I have presented you with several different scenarios, each intended to help you see that not all situations are as cut-and-dry as you seem to think they ought to be. You respond with a quote from...oh, yourself. I see. Yet you accuse me of not seeing past my nose? I backed up every one of my original arguments with Scripture quotations, yet you dismiss me with instructions to go read a Bible?

If you insist, I will play by your rules. Where in Scripture does God command that a woman become the property of the males in her life?

No, you have posed hypothetical scenarios in a thought experiment to try to find some angle where the Bible would not apply. It's like proving that God is not omnipotent by saying "If God is omnipotent, can He make a stone that He Himself cannot carry? No? Then he cannot do something. Yes? Then he cannot do something. Thus, God is not omnipotent."

You got an answer for every possible scenario -- even though you could have opened a Bible yourself. What's next, you will declare (again) that you were ignored and thus you are the victor?

Be wary of false Kumbaya Christians who use a highlighter and scissors to read the Bible. God wants us to read the lines, not between the lines. False Christians will go to Hell:
      Matthew 7:22
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Put it this way. You can drink fresh Godly water. It is good for you. You cannot drink salt water, it is bad for you. You need to keep the two separate. Salt water is great for some fishes and sailing on. Fresh Godly water is great for consumption. If you blend the two together, you get dilute salt water, the impure salt has contaminated the fresh pure Godly water. Then everyone dies. Is that what you want?
so if our 2 races were to mix we would all die?

        i dont think so.

genetic diversirty is what keeps people and animals alive through evolution. if we all breed within the same gene pool then mutations start to form and the gene pool could die off because of these mutations. if their is variety then mutation is less likely to occur.

also please explain what you mean by this comment:

what will we do? what will we do about what? whats the problem?

None of the situations are hypothetical to me, as I know individuals in every situation. I went to high school with a girl who was raped before the age of 10, I went to college with a girl who was molested by her female babysitter, and I have another close friend who was raped by a married man 15 years her senior.

And could you please point out exactly where I claimed to be right because no one was attempting to give me an answer? Because while it is true that I did have to post my original comments thrice before obtaining and sort of answer, not once did I declare myself the victor as a result. I simply pointed out that most of the individuals in this forum are too cowardly to say anything besides varying forms of "you are stupid and wrong" back and forth at one another, with increasing levels of vulgarity.

Which you then AGREE with in your little hypothetical arguing that whoever sins first in a chain reaction of sins is at fault. As an added bonus, you unknowingly trapped yourself in your own logic since if the woman was not sinning, the man would not be lustful. What, exactly, is your point here. Do you wish to retract your "what if" about lusting?

You and many others are arguing under the assumption that the girl in question was scantily clad at the time the man forced himself upon her. Did you see her at the time? Do you know what she was wearing? Is it not possible that she was modestly clad, and the man simply has a lustful heart and vivid imagination? If he is capable of such actions he is clearly not a God-fearing man.
So you at least agree that IF the woman was not dressed as God instructs her to dress, she is the cause of the rape. Good. We have some common ground!

How is a literal reading of Scripture a double standard?
              This is totally unresponsive.

I am saying that God did not punish either of them for their actions. If Amnon were not guilty of any sin, why would God not punish the murder of an innocent man?
Have you READ the Bible? God doesn't punish MANY poeple for sinful actions. In fact, God frequently punishes INNOCENT people for teh sins of OTHERS who go UNPUNISHED.

              Example: II Samuel 24.

David offends God by ordering Joab to take a census of Israel and of his army in particular (V. 2). Joab tries to talk David out of it but fails.

In V. 10 we find that “David was conscience-stricken after he had counted the fighting men, and he said to the LORD, "I have sinned greatly in what I have done. Now, O LORD, I beg you, take away the guilt of your servant. I have done a very foolish thing."

God refuses and sends Gad the Seer to tell David that he would have three punishments he could choose from:

              1. Seven years of famine on the land.
              2. Three months of fleeing before your enemies.
              3. Three days of plague in the land.

David fears the retribution of humans and puts his fate into the hands of the Lord. (V.14). What did God do?

15 So the LORD sent a plague on Israel from that morning until the end of the time designated, and seventy thousand of the people from Dan to Beersheba died.
So David sins and God punishes....who? Innocent people. 70,000 innocent people! Why? Because David counted people.

Now, tell me again that "if Amnon were not guilty of any sin, why would God not punish the murder of an innocent man?" God not only doesn't punish David, he KILLS 70,000 innocent children, babies, mothers, fathers, etc. What Bible are you reading?

If I may... You seem to be a child playing at a grown up game. You think that you can come here and regurgitate thoughts you had placed in your head about how nice and fun and fair God is and make us "see the light." You expect us to all of a sudden say, "The Holy Bible is God's word...unless I don't like what God says or does. In THAT case I will use twisted logic and ignore the literal text and plug my ears and go "LALALALA" to make myself feel better about my core beliefs."

Please learn the Bible before you profes to be a Christian. You are so desperate for an all-loving, all-fair God that you are willing to do ANYTHING to twist your head into a pretzel shape so the text of the Holy Bible fits your world view. All we do here is expose teh text tot he light of day. (And you can see what sort of reaction we get.) Untwist yourself, read the text, do what it says. It is the only rational way to understand the word of the Lord.

Yes, because an 8-year-old child is a complete prostitute. Sometimes evil people hurt the innocent. It's a fact of life. Getting raped does not make one a whore. Accepting payment in return for sexual favors does.

My point is that a man's lust does not necessarily follow from a woman's sinfulness in every case. Yes, women are capable of such things. No, it is not the case 100% of the time.

I challenge you both, since you are both so clearly better versed in Scripture than I, to give me Scriptural proof that rape is always a result of a woman behaving sinfully. This is the claim you are making over and over, and since you only accept arguments based in the words of Scripture, I challenge you to play by your own rules.

                  a man rapes a woman.

you say that this man is now responsible and should marry said woman.

what if this man has a mental disorder and does not know what he's doing. or he knows perfectly well what he's doing and he's doing it because he likes raping women?

would you still ask this woman to marry them?

                    1. Our daughters do not go to high school but are homeschooled.
                    2. Our daughters are generally not allowed to mix with boys. (could cause gender identity issues later on too)

God does not think kindly of lesbians or molesters. But, again: rape is not condoned by the Bible or by us. This whole thread is not about a million possible scenarios, it is about >> 1 << specific scenario.

Do you go to a medical forum where someone asks what he should do about Pneumonia and then ask "But what about Leprosy? And what about Dyfteria?". This whole thread has been completely derailed.

The question is what the Bible wants us to do for 1 specific scenario. Fortunately, God mentions this specific scenario in the Bible, so doesn't the answer follow clearly? Instead, you try to find loopholes and irrelevant verse.

Why do you keep insisting on finding loopholes in God's plan? Are you smarter than God?

Have all of your friends married? Have they followed the path to Salvation? If not they are SLUTS. We did not make the rules, God did, and they can be found in his book, the Bible KJV 1611. We as True Christians simply follow the word of God. Unlike your self we don't make up the rules as we go, they are already there, we just follow them.
