I actually never said we should all use pot. I said it has medical value meaning that it should be used to fight whatever sickness it is able to fight.
For example- It helps Glaucoma- if you don't have it you don't need it.

There's REAL MEDICINES that help with that. This medical marijuana thing that's going on lately is nothing more than liebrals trying to get their hippie agenda through the back door.

Same thing with any drug! You wouldn't take an anti-biotic if you don't need it!

I don't take drugs, I pray. Unfortunately some people do not have enough faith for that to work it seems.

Look at Opium! An extremely addictive illegal drug-- that is used by doctors in the form of morphine to perform surgeries, and kill pain in suffering patients.

- God's purpose for an "evil" plant doesn't always have to be medical value.. it's purpose may lie on another level ( whatever it is).
But with a plant like marijuana that ACTUALLY does have it, its reasonable to use it ..The RIGHT WAY--- not to be used, to be stoned.

Also, Anesthesia derives from Herbal plants-- it is just another example you have provided for me.

Also clinically very useful in treating the symptoms of multiple schlerosis. As the active ingredient can be extracted, such that it can be taken in a manner which won't get the patient stoned, would it not be worth at least giving it a proper clinical trial?

Of course, recreational use of the drug should be very carefully considered but same goes for any drug. Are there any particular parts of scripture I am forgetting which allow alcohol and tobacco consumption, but forbid the use of other drugs?

Have done so. Aside from a comment about hippies trying to legalise the drug via a back door (countered by the ability to make it in forms that don't get the user high), I couldn't see anything relevant. Are there are specific posts I missed?

To put it in perspective, drug companies have been trying for years to make a synthetic THC (the primary active ingredient). Surely this suggests that there are some desirable properties in the plant?
