I understand that this is quite an old post. 2 years old, to be exact. But I have been compelled to make a quick account just so I could reply to this thread. While I respect your opinions as a person, I think it's necessary to explain to you why I believe that the information (Or rather very harsh stereotypes) you have posted about Asperger syndrome is wrong.

For starters, I am a born-again Christian. I believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God, and that he died on the cross for my sins. Not so that we would be condemned, but so we could be saved if we choose him. I was born into a Christian family, for which I am lucky and blessed. I love going to Church to praise God, and I have a lot of fun at youth group. I think that it's awesome that I get to socialize with other Christian teens. And God made me the way I am, and that includes having Asperger syndrome.

While it is true that socializing with other teens at school is harder for me, and making friends is difficult, it's not impossible. Ever since I was diagnosed with it in elementary school (I kept having meltdowns, ones that I'm still not proud of and would frankly like to forget) I knew that making actual friends wasn't going to be easy. But I wanted to have someone to talk to. And eventually, I met my two best friends in 2nd grade. And they've stuck with me ever since (8 years now!)

You see, the reason it's hard to socialize is because while I'm considered intelligent, it's been tough for me to read facial expressions. I also take things very seriously (ie. Jokes, teasing, etc...) and can mess up when trying to interact with my peers. In the past, that has resulted in me getting picked on. But I turn the other cheek and treat them with respect. (Love thy enemy) But I've been working on it the past few years. Therapy as a little girl helped as well. And I can proudly say that I've gotten better! I've even developed a sense of humor.....more or less (Still can't get jokes).

I also read on your list that all Aspies say inappropriate remarks (I assume you mean cursing or slang). For one, I hate swearing. I usually scold my younger sister for cursing, and she's a little girl! I don't agree with bad words, mainly because GOD DOESN'T LIKE THEM!!! And I do NOT want to disobey him. Although I do speak a bit loud, but that's mostly because I want people to understand me clearly.

Also, I have had this condition for a very long time, and I've NEVER heard of being impervious to pain. While it sounds like a good gig, it's just silly. I cry when I stub my toe, I twisted an ankle in show choir and was bawling, a bruise hurts like a regular bruise. So while the fantasy sounds kind of nice, I can still feel pain like any other person.

And on a final note, Asperger syndrome is different for most people. Some symptoms show, some don't. I've actually grown out of hating jeans, and now I wear them every day. It usually just depends on the person. What the boy at the Connecticut shooting did was wrong. It was horrible, brutal murder. I know how it feels to lose someone dear to you, so I can only pray that the parents of those poor children can get through it. But he himself will be judged for what he did, not the rest of the people with Asperger. Each of us will be judged individually for our actions, and I've come to believe that there is so much more to a person that a mental condition.

Putting a stereotype, a HATEFULL stereotype, on ANYONE is cruel. The Bible says "Love your neighbor." That means everyone. God loves ALL of us, so much that he gave his only son so that we may not perish, but have eternal life. It is our choice whether to accept him or not, and having Asperger will not affect my choice. And I choose Jesus.

I hope what I've just written can help you truly understand that Asperger in general does not make a person evil, or emotionless, or violent. Trust me, I could try and act tough, but if I ever got into a fight I would be snapped like a twig (because I AM a twig) not to mention my father would kill me! (If I hadn't died already, that is. See, I can be funny when try!) There is more to a person than that. Many life choices and experiences make a person who they are. Perhaps my message will move you, or it may not. I hope and pray it does. If you are a Christian as you claim to be, you will listen to what I have to say.

God has a plan for all of us, and I trust him with all my heart. He loves me just the way I am, and I will always strive to be a better Christian for him. It is my goal to spread his love to others, so that they too will know his compassion and mercy. I hope God's teachings will speak to you in ways like never before, so that you can become a better Christian too. Please try to show compassion towards others, as he does. You'll be in my prayers.

If you are a Christian as you claim to be, you will listen to what I have to say.

You (or your parents) must have done sin because God punished you with His curse. If you were a Christian as you claim to be, you would not have this affliction anymore.

Being Christian means that you believe in Christ. If you really believed in Him and you would have prayed Him to lift your curse, you would have been healed. Since you have not been healed, it's clear that you don't really believe in Him. That means you can't be a Christian.

I was reading THIS thread just the other day on Asperger’s Syndrome, when it suddenly struck me – the behavior being described with this ‘syndrome’ thing is the EXACT SAME BEHAVIOR DISPLAYED BY SERIAL KILLERS, PSYCHOPATHS, MASS MURDERERS, AND CHILDREN WHO SHOOT UP SCHOOLS!

It doesn’t take some fancy degree in that psychology garbage to realize that this Asperger’s Syndrome is EVIL, PURE EVIL, and from The Devil! While ALL Syndromes are inherently evil, from the sounds of it, this Asperger’s is the worst of them!

To make matters worse, now liberal’s have put a name to this, instead of just saying ‘These children are evil / born bad / psychos / wrong in the head’, so they can palm them off into ‘cognitive behavior therapy’ and similar nonsense, instead of locking these evil monsters away where they belong – away in a small white padded cell, before they can start killing small animals!
