    Judas.

i'm not sure exactly where to put this, but i have a question about the bible

What exactly happened to Judas after he betrayed Jesus for silver?
In Matthew 27, it says he hung himself. But in Acts 1 it says he bought a farm and fell

Then when Judas, who had betrayed Him, saw that He had been condemned, he felt remorse and returned the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, saying, "I have sinned by betraying innocent blood." But they said, "What is that to us? See to that yourself!" And he threw the pieces of silver into the sanctuary and departed; and he went away and hanged himself.
And the chief priests took the pieces of silver and said, "It is not lawful to put them into the temple treasury, since it is the price of blood." And they counseled together and with the money bought the Potter's Field as a burial place for strangers.
    Matthew 27:3-7
"Brethren, the Scripture had to be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit foretold by the mouth of David concerning Judas, who became a guide to those who arrested Jesus... (Now this man acquired a field with the price of his wickedness; and falling headlong, he burst open in the middle and all his bowels gushed out...)
    Acts 1:16-19

    which one is correct?

I’m at a loss really, your question seems to answer itself, yet you still pose it… What part of either troubles you? Can you not see that both are absolutely true and identical, merely seen from another view? Are you so deep in sin and denial of Christ that you are a stranger to fact?

M't:27:5&8 says: And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself. Wherefore that field was called, The field of blood, unto this day.

Ac:1:18-19 says: Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out. And it was known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood.

Just out of interest, note the name of the place: "The field of blood."

Now, what happens when a hanging takes place? A man falls.

    Where’s your problem?

      Re: Judas.

the problem is that when you get hung, your guts don't spill out, unless of course you eviscerate yourself first, but hten why would you hang yourself if you're already organless?

...and you have the recorded history of every hanging in the entire world, so you know these things? In Judas' case the guts obviously did spill - it says so in Acts!

Perhaps he caught his abdomen on a branch - who's to say?

is it possible that after the rope deteriorated (as things made from organic compounds tend to do) that he fell, and his rotting corpse burst open when it hit the ground? sorry for the image, but still.

look, flesh around the abdomen just doesn't spontaneously tear when neck bones break. and- oh... wait... nvm, i just realised, when you get hung, you void your bowels, (like diarrhea, but you're dead) maybe that's what they were referring to! that's entirely plausible.

Indeed, plausible; but making a point of doctrinal contention over adiaphora is probably non-salvific.

                    Re: Judas.

Well, I suppose you are a step nearer Salvation(tm). What do you make of this?

Cain killed Abel yet was saved from the death penalty:

Ge:4:13: And Cain said unto the LORD, My punishment is greater than I can bear.
Ge:4:14: Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me.
Ge:4:15: And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.

                    However:

Ge:9:4: But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.
Ge:9:5: And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man.
Ge:9:6: Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.

Next time, put some thought into it before posting. There is also a handy "search" function available on this Godly forum. Many questions have been asked and answered repeatedly over the years.

I wonder if you might try putting some thought into using proper American grammar, spelling and punctuation rules when posting here as well.

It is better to say things that serve people in some way. All things can be said in a way that is empowering and loving. When your intent is to love and serve others and what you say comes from your heart, you will assist people in growing. There is always a higher truth, a way to say things that leave other people feeling good about who they are. If you need to correct people's behaviors and give them feedback about how they can do better, learn to do it in a way that serves them and with the intent to make them feel good about who they are.

Can you really call it English if you pronounce it wrong, spell it wrong and ignore the grammatical rules set forth by the people that invented the language. you're speaking in a dialect of English, besides, what if I'm in Great Britain right now? [demonic code deleted]. you can hardly speak English, can you really try to tell me i'm wrong.
