    Need advice for Christian name

Hello all! My family and I have just moved here from Tel Aviv, Israel. We were fortunate enough to find this Christian site on our computer. I own a small business that sells Christian products like crucifix's and such. Being Jewish, one product we really try to push is our "Joo's for Jesus" bumper stickers, which are hot sellers. Well, here's my dilema. Our family name is "Hosler", which we are somewhat proud of, but it sounds a little bit too much like "Hitler" and we are trying to get a fresh start here in America so my wife and I decided to change our family name to break any association with the evil German. Monday we will be going to the court house to began paperwork to change our name to "Schicklgruber", which my pastor came up with. Does this sound alright?

That might work, but it sounds a bit too Jooish.

I mean, shekel grabber? How much more jewy could you get?
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

Hosler sounds absolutely nothing like Hitler.

But if you want a more Christian name, why not something from the New Testament?
      Bible boring? Nonsense!

The name Schicklgruber is like a yellow badge on your clothes. Why don't you choose "Christian" as a second name?

May I recommend Norton, after Joshua Abraham Norton, aka Norton I, Emperor of the United States (and Protector of Mexico)?

If they allow you to, try "Bush". Never has there been a mightier American to lead us.

Re: Need advice for Christian name

Well, I hope this is just an address mistake or maybe some kind of coincidence. After leaving the court house to sign all the name change papers, my wife and I stopped by an Ace hardware to buy our new mailbox with our new name, 'the Schicklgrubers' in big white letters. We were awaken to see a very large burning cross in our front yard! We hope it was just some playful children having a bit of fun and it was a one time happening. We were barely asleep when it happened. We just finished watching the John Hagee ministry at around eleven PM, where Hagee lovingly called for the pre-emptive nuclear attack on Iran in a blood vessel popping sermon. I had a small bit of pie, rolled over and shut my eyes and then saw the brightness of a fire on my bedroom curtains. Is finding a large burning cross on your front lawn a common happening here in the states?

Consider it a warm welcome. Obviously you moved into a good Christian community.

Another burning cross on our lawn last night! I just can't shake the feeling that the other families in our predominatly Jewish surburb are bothered by our newly changed name of Schicklgruber. My wife, Maria Anna, and my two boys, Alois and Johannes feel the same way I do about the matter. We are all good people, so why would we be singled out? Pray with us for an answer to this mystery. Thank You Jesus!

Until you find out may I suggest you take advantage of it to make dinner for the family? Some nice juicy pork chops a few and sausages. Invite the neighbours.
