You will be aware of (a) Sister Talitha is a widow following an unfortunate accident with her late husband in which she was completely exonerated and (b) De:27:19: Cursed be he that perverteth the judgment of the stranger, fatherless, and widow. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Sister Talitha has given her judgment, will you pervert it?

And do I hear and "AMEN"?

Re: Cars and God, does he hate the Honda NSX?

Anyone apart of this forum who considers themselves saved and owns a luxurious home and drives a shinny ride like a Mercedes or BMW are serpents in disguise. I understand that America is a materialist, capitalistic country which rotates around the "idea" of possessions but the simple fact that any reverend, preacher or a simple follower of Jesus "showing" off their rides is a utter contradiction against Jesus himself.

Before you go off on a tangent about me being a "retard" refer to your bible to "Luke 12 : 15-31"

The simple fact of the matter is that if you can afford a Mercedes or any luxurious vehicle you have exploited the wealth that has been provided for you for your own "personal" benefit. Whatever happened to donations to the church? "I donate to the church" which is what I assume the response would be but if you are driving one of those "shinny" rides than obviously you have not donated enough. Instead of spending such wealth to afford those “beautiful” items, it could be spent on something that could benefit someone other than yourself, maybe the poor, Africa, or just spreading the word of Jesus.

There is no need for such material possessions in this world because a Mercedes and a cheap GEO will get you to the same place regardless of make, price, color etc..
God gave you wealth and you spent it on yourself, you have failed his test.
I am hoping for response from someone willing to discuss Luke 12:15-31.
I hope “some” people will avoid childish attacks.

I take it this jab was directed towards me, seeing as I live in a mansion and drive a Mercedes-Benz. Son, do you not know that Jesus rewards his followers? I am a televangelist and my program has been seen by millions worldwide across 90 countries. I've saved countless people and brought them the Good News that Jesus Christ died for their sins! You wouldn't believe how many letters and donations we get from people saying "Thank you, Rev. Jim for guiding me to Jesus. I love your show, you explain what the Bible says in easier terms, and you show us that Christ is the way to salvation."

Look at the Bible quote on my sig. The blessing of the Lord will make you rich. It has made me rich. The Mercedes-Benzes, the mansion, the trips to the Caribbean and French Riviera, the Rolexes, the custom-made Italian suits, those are just modest, material things. They don't make me happy, just comfortable. What makes me happy is knowing that Jesus Christ died for me and I will have eternal life with him! That is true happiness!

I do not steal donations from my church; My hard work is rewarded by Jesus. The cars and clothes are just Jesus' way of saying "Keep up the good work, Jim! You're bringing lots of souls to me! Take this as a small token of my appreciation."

I think that is worthwhile looking at the verses you give and examing them in the light of what you claim to be profligacy at Landover.

Lu:12:15: And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
This is where Christs tells those assembled what He is going to say. Note the words in red. This is the essence. It echoes Ex:20:17: Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.

So now let us read about not coveting:

Lu:12:16: And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:
Lu:12:17: And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?
Lu:12:18: And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.
Lu:12:19: And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.
This is what we know as a successful farmer who is employiong many and feeding hundreds. You don’t get to a position like that without hard work and intelligence.
Lu:12:20: But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?
We are reminded that riches cannot be taken to heaven.

Lu:12:21: So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.
Lu:12:22: And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.
Lu:12:23: The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.
This is probably the most misunderstood set of verses in the Bible. Christ is not saying to his disciples, quit work and live on welfare. He is saying (as he says elsewhere in words found also in the Old Testament) that minimalism is good.
Lu:12:24: Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?
Here Jesus describes the natural life.

Lu:12:25: And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit?
Lu:12:26: If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?
Lu:12:27: Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Lu:12:28: If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?
The culmination is that God will look after you. However, from other direct sayings we see poverty is to be alleviated and work for money (laborers and worthy hire, etc.) is good. We must also look after the less fortunate – thus we cannot be poor, we cannot be uncomfortable that we are so oppressed that we cannot genuinely help others
Lu:12:29: And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.
see the 2 thoughts here? Don’t worry about food, & be positive. That’s the message. We here at Landover do not worry about food, we are positive.

Lu:12:30: For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.
Here we see that God knows that we need food, drink, shelter, to keep up with the news, to travel to broaden the mind, to have manly sports events to attend, to hunt for our own food, and for all of these things, things we need to get in order before we can even start attending to the poor, we need transport in this huge country of ours.

Does God wish us to crawl out of some tiny rice can covered in sweat and our bones aching? Or does he want us to arrive fresh,in an air-conned Hummer, and ready for the vicissitudes of dealing with the less fortunate?
Lu:12:31: But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Just so – God, as always is right! They are added to us because we are seeking the Kingdom of God! Praise!

Lu:12:32: Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
                          perfect!

And in all that, where were we “coveting”?

Please tell us about yourself in the introductions forum instead of spewing hateful attacks. Your unsaved opinions don't count for much around here. This is God's favorite forum.
You are very presumptuous. You assume I am "unsaved" and you assume "This is God's favorite forum." Very bold but there is no room in this world or heaven for those who assume and judge.

Like I said before, please avoid "childish" responses

You are correct when you say my "jab" is directed towards you. Jesus does reward his fellow followers but not with material possessions but with life in the kingdom of heaven.

You say that "you" have saved millions across the world in 90 countries but you have only spread the word of Jesus and I hate to be the bier of bad news but it's the word of Jesus not yours. The simple fact that you have high regards for yourself and a big ego for "saving millions" with your "television" show has made you oblivious to what is really important.
The thing you should on the other hand is that you dedicated your life to Jesus.

You openly except money from people who watch your show and mock them by buying lavish things such as "Mercedes-Benzes, the mansion, the trips to the Caribbean and French Riviera, the Rolexes, the custom-made Italian suits." If God took all those "things" away would you still be comfortable? Because materialism provides false happiness no matter what you call it.

I can't say whether you steal money from the Church or not but when your main source of income is people's donations and your off in the French-Riveria and living in a mansion it raises a few eye-brows.

You assume "the cars and the clothes" are Jesus's way of thanking you for your hard work but like I said before Jesus does not reward materilism but eternal serenity. Remember: The devil comes in many forms.

Again, I refer you to my signature: Indeed in the Bible it does say that the Lord will bless you with material possessions.

The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it. Proverbs 10:22

To be fair, yes you are right...Jesus has saved people, not me. However, I am a humble faithful servant of the Lord and my personal efforts have resulted in millions of people worldwide turning to Christ as their Savior. Obviously, I have dedicated my life to Jesus if I work 7 days a week for my program and have worked tirelessly to make sure my program "Rev. Jim's Wealth and Health Gospel Hour" is shown to as many people as possible. My career is based on spreading the word of Christ and converting unsaved souls to His flock!

You openly except money from people who watch your show and mock them by buying lavish things such as "Mercedes-Benzes, the mansion, the trips to the Caribbean and French Riviera, the Rolexes, the custom-made Italian suits." I don't mock anybody. My faithful television viewing audience has no problem with the few luxuries I have, in fact, some have written to me wishing me to spend money on myself! See, there was a widow whose husband died a few years back and she was going through a very dark, troubling time in her life...and her faith in Christ began to dwindle. Thanks to my television program and my preaching, she turned back to Christ! Hallelujah! She wrote to me and gave me two checks. One was $700 for the ministry and a donation to the church. The other was $300 with the express intent that I use it for myself. She was so thankful that I was there in her time of need, she gave me a gift. Isn't that a wonderful True Christian(tm) woman? To be humble, giving, and to stay with Jesus even through the hard times?

And if God took those things away, of course I would be comfortable. In fact, I'm living below my means right now. Back in the 1980's, when my televangelist empire was at its apex, I was bringing in over $1.5 million a month in donations. I had several mansions, houses, condos, apartments all over the world (right now I live in a modest 10-bedroom house on the beach in California), I had a fleet of Rolls-Royces, Ferraris, and Porsches (right now I just have my Mercedes and a Cadillac Escalade), etc. etc. So, I've learned to live on what less I have.

But I still praise Jesus and the Lord is Good!

I can't say whether you steal money from the Church or not but when your main source of income is people's donations and your off in the French-Riveria and living in a mansion it raises a few eye-brows.
Well, it raised a few eyebrows at the FBI, as well. I admit, in the past I was a sinner...I turned myself away from Jesus and backslid and found myself in federal prison for 15 years for Fraud, Embezzlement, and Money Laundering. However, those days are long gone. I have served my term and re-dedicated myself to Jesus. I have been born-again, again.

This just shows the awesome majesty of our Lord for him to forgive a sinner such as myself.

You assume "the cars and the clothes" are Jesus's way of thanking you for your hard work but like I said before Jesus does not reward materilism but eternal serenity. Remember: The devil comes in many forms.
Like I said, Proverbs makes it clear that the Lord will bless you with riches. I have Scripture to back up my claim; Where is your Scripture that says Jesus will not give any material rewards?
