But it's not as though love and money are mutually exclusive. The way you two talk, you can't have both love and money?

Do you think that you must be poor to be loved?

It's true that money can't buy love; it was never designed to. But still, as Woody Allen has observed, it is better to be miserable and rich than miserable and poor. And it is preferable to be rich, if only for financial reasons.

Similary, it is easier to enjoy love in a mansion than huddled freezing under a bridge.

Sleeping under a bridge isn't as bad as you think. I mean the first hour is pretty bad, but if your lying on a patch of grass its ok. As for me, I would rather be poor with love then miserable and rich.

That is typical of unsaved heathen scum; trying to justify for yourselves why its really fine and dandy that you have to squat in a ditch somewhere and push berries up your nose for sustenance. If Jesus loved you, you would live in a gated community like I do, with 8 bathrooms, 12 bedrooms, a private chapel and several prayer closets, surrounded by several acres of rolling hills with purebred Arabian stallions frolicking.

But because you and your family have turned your backs on Jesus, you will never enjoy such comfort. Instead, you tell yourself that you actually PREFER a life of want and hunger. This is just a continuation of the fantasy land you construct for yourselves, like telling yourself that God actually loves sodomites and drug dealers.

Time to stop fooling yourself little miss Icky. Accept Jesus and maybe, just maybe you can find a True Christian™ husband to guide you. Your parents are already in prison, and once you have to sell your computer to buy drugs for your sisters, you will be cut off forever from hearing the Good News about Jesus that we have been toiling to bring you lo these past few weeks.

Its either that or accept the offer from that Yemeni Sheik. He still needs a stablemate.

Yeah, but if you spend the vast majority of your time working to get money, you'll never have time to love. I'd rather love, have time to love, and risk being poor, than to be lonely and rich.

Any jury will prove that a goth is a human being, just like you and me. Even if was deliberately trying to run over an actual animal, they would've pinned him for reckless driving. But on the more serious note, if he is caught and tried, he will be guilty of Voluntary Manslaughter which is classified under third degree murder in most states. And if the prosecutor has a good lawyer, the defendant (Brother Wash) will be charged with 1st degree murder, whereas he initially planned to kill any goth that crossed his path. Either way he's pinned with homicide and attempted genocide.

Of course, of course. But we are not speaking about spending the vast majority of one's time working to get money. Just 40 odd hours, or even less, per week.

Once again, your argument assumes that being lonely and unloved goes inevitably with being rich. If that were the case, then one would be advised to avoid being rich. But it's not the case.

Oh dear. Yes, yes, yes, yes, being rich doesn't guarantee happiness, or love. But nor does it prevent it.

By the same token, being poor doesn't guarantee happiness, or love. And doesn't prevent it.

But I certainly see no evidence that being poor increases one's chances of being happy and loved.

There are a few homeless people in the city where I live and I see them going through rubbish bins and going off to where they sleep under a bridge in the park, none of them ever seem to look cheerful -- they usually look the picture of misery. Recently one of them was found dead: he had died of natural causes but they didn't find him for days -- until the smell of his decomposing body alerted passers by.

He was well known round town by sight but he never looked happy to me -- he looked miserable to, and he was always alone; he had no friends at all, let alone anyone who loved him. Most of the homeless here seem like that -- friendless and miserable. No, poverty doesn't increase one's chances of happiness and love.

Of course you don't want to be like that. Never coming out of your cubicle would be very stupid.

Of course you would, dear, of course you would. So would we all! You are a very bright little child to realise that! Well done Icky Wicky, we'll put a gold star in your book.

Really, you should be on Mastermind for that insight. Master of the "Bleedin' Obvious".

But the question that I am asking is a different one. The question could be put two ways:

                              1) Would you rather be poor with love, or rich with love?
                              2) Would you rather be miserable and poor or miserable and rich?
