An atheist doesn't belive in God.. Because we don't belive in God, we don't feel far apart from God.. Since there is no God..

As I came across a helpful article showing me how to persuade an atheist to become a Christian, I read the preparation step called, "Imagine how they feel about their beliefs." Well, that got me to thinking, what DO atheists believe? What is it like to be in the head of an atheist? Is there any logical thought at all or is it pure animal instinct? Does one consider things like pleasure and pain or is an atheist simply driven to eat, sleep, and have sex with the closest hole that fits a peg (or peg that fits a hole, as it were)? I'm sincerely curious and wonder how can we help you overcome these base animal instincts to be saved from an eternity of torment that is due simply for the crime of having been born human and therefor depraved.

To be an atheist is like being free. I don't have to look in a book to see if it is okay to do that or that. As long as I'm following the law. We don't belive in sin.. Like sex before marriage or working on sundays and what other stuff you call sins..

We think logically and question things until we have proof. We don't act on instinct..

But all atheist are not the same.. We don't belive in the exact same things, we don't like the same food, we don't work at the same place..

The only thing in comon is actually that we don't belive in God or any religious creation stories.

So "following the law" seems to be important to you. Imagine a society where no secular law applies, nothing is forbidden. How would you draw the line between whats okay and whats not with no God to tell you? Would it be okay to marry a pig? To kill young children and drink their blood? Today you might think it's "normal" to kill unborn babies, who are you to tell your fellow athiests to not kill a five year old kid? Where do you get a moral compass from if you don't have a god?

I have moral because my parents and my school taught it to me. Not God..

I have never said it is okay to kill people or to marry a pig? That is sick!
Since I have never commited a crime, I have moral.. Without that evil, egoistic and narcissisitic God of yours.

Pretty much.. But the authors of Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter does not try to force people to live by the rules of their books.. And they do not say the reader will go to hell.. But they are all fairytales.. But Lord of the rings and harry potter are acctually good. The bible? Not so much..

As an atheist I would propose I take my views and beliefs and challenge your God to discuss our differences, an almighty being with infinite abilities should be able to handle a simple conversation. But no as usual your magic man in the sky will remain cowering behind the blind faith of the puppets that have been brainwashed into following this religion without question. If God is so powerful and his wrath so easy to incur, why do I remain to blaspheme and basically disobey everything he would ask of me? Why does he not drown me in a flood? Or turn my water to blood? Strange how he had all these magical powers and influences thousands of years ago. What happened? Get tired? Too old to stand up for himself? No the fact is he, she, it, does not exist. If he does, smite me down oh mighty smiter.

God gave you free will. You can choose heaven or hell. Trust me, in the end you will wish that quick death by lighting would have been the only punishment for blasphemy.
