Which came first, Unsavedness or Stupidity?

    Brothers and Sisters,

As I read the posts by new folk, I find with remarkable consistency that the posters who are non-believers are invariably semi-literate maroons. The occasional Christian who joins us in our Holy Mission is nearly always a skilled verbal communicator.

My question: Are people Unsaved because they are stupid, or does God make them stupid because they are Unsaved? Or is there some other reason for this glaringly-obvious correlation?

It goes without saying God makes them so stupid they chose to be unsaved. I mean unless the Hand of God(r) were blinding a man why else would he chose damnation?

Time to reclaim our FREEDOM from the “Mullah in Chief” and his growing activist voter hoards of socialists, communists, anti-Semites, anti-Christians, atheists, radical gays and lesbians, feminists, illegal immigrants, Muslims, anti-Anglo whites and others.

And sometimes he makes them so dumb they can't even choose. I mean look at a retarded baby; right out of the womb it screams stupid. The only thing that will ever matter to that kid is whether an object shines or can he lick it. If you tried to preach the message of salvation all you'd get is gurgling and the occasional fart.

That makes me wonde; ever notice how much shiney stuff (I think they call it "bling" or some such foolishness) homers wear, I wonder if perhaps all of this illiteracy, poor spelling/grammatical skills, stupidity, tomfoolery and homersexuralism might be interconnected??

Rarely does one encounter a believer that is lacking in basic literacy, book learnins and the like.

add "r" - then I misspell wonder, but of course that was unintentional. My demonically possessed Microshaft Winblows spell checker failed me.

Re: Which came first, Unsavedness or Stupidity?

As always, the Scriptures are of guidance here. The first mention of fools appears in 2Sa:3:33: And the king lamented over Abner, and said, Died Abner as a fool dieth? (He actually croaked with a knife between his ribs but that’s by the by.)

We therefore see that the fool appeared on Earth after the Flood. Thus it is clear that God did not create the fool but free will was taken to the extreme and some people chose complete, full-blown, ocean-going, state-of-the-art stupidity as a lifestyle.

Landover’s outreach to the feeble minded is perhaps best summed up in Proverb:12:15: The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise. (lovely verb “hearkeneth”, isn’t it?)

God’s advice is Proverb:26:5: Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit. And I do believe we do that.

Since you asked for some alternatives:
                • The illiterate saved may see no reason to post larger, more complex responses and stick to a short message of support for his/her brethren because the literate saved here are numerous enough to respond to everything.
                • Or most of the unsaved who actually post here could be angry about something, making them too impatient to re-check their posts.
                • Or intelligent unsaved people don't see a reason to post here as often.
There is no doubt that a lot of people coming here are incapable of or unwilling to make understandable posts in reasonably well-formed English. I don't know exactly what it is about this place but it does seem to attract angry, illiterate atheists like moths to a lightbulb. I'll admit that the religious people here who aren't True Christians® do seem in general to be calmer than my fellow atheists. There is nothing that shames us atheists more as a group more than those of us who cannot disagree without anger. I don't know why they do it unless its some desire like religions to "spread the true belief (or lack thereof)."
If I meet your God or his representative after my death I'll gladly admit I was incorrect in my belief of his nonexistence. I'll also admit to him that I do not and will not regret my belief because it was based on the best information available to me.

It certainly is. They simply don't make them like they used to.

Miss Italian Dinner of Questionable Motives, I believe your impression of the average unsaved poster on God's Favorite Forum is dead on.

You seem to know the enemy well, yet still remain unsaved. Why? Surely, you've been here long enough to have learned of Jesus!

I thought about that too but isn't a rhetorical question usually a question which you already know the answer and believe there could only be one answer to? I would have thought that "other" would have been a choice on the poll if the poster actually considered it a possibility. Anyway, I figured that nothing is lost by answering it just in case the poster actually asked a question for the purpose of gaining knowledge (aka: an answer).

Except, of course, your rejection of Jesus.
Thats odd... it doesn't cause me to experience any shame. I'd imagine most atheists are similarly shameless about their beliefs (or lack thereof) or they wouldn't still have them. The same goes for the Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, Christians, etc.

I think you might be talking about shaming, which is an entirely different animal. Shaming is associating people with a particular belief or action believed to be "wrong" in some way by the party committing the shaming. The target of shaming, however, may or may not experience shame.
