It is a common complaint that false Christians have. They often say we are too blunt when we tell people that they are going to hell.
Of course we know that not warning them of the fact that the unbelievers and false believers will go to hell would make us culpable in their demise. If no one told them they were going to eternal punishment in a lake of fire, how else would they know to pray for forgiveness?
This is something I have been wrestling with for some time. I was praying about it this afternoon and the LORD led me to Facebook in the middle of putting together this Sunday's sermon.
I clicked on a Christian group that the Holy Spirit must have been leading me to when I found this gem referring to atheists.
This lady said it almost perfectly. Notice she didn't say that the atheists will stand in judgment of God. She merely said that they would bend their knee to Jesus, which we all know means atheists will stand in judgment of the LORD. It's all in how you say it subtly.
Philippians 2:10-11
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
I would also like to commend her for carefully concealing her glee in the fact that once you are dead, it's too late change your mind.
We as Christians all know that the atheists are going to be in for a huge surprise. And deep down inside I know we all wish we could be there to see the looks on their faces when they find out that Jesus is real. But we should probably hide that feeling of joy that all our hard work and worship of the LORD will pay off in the end, while they are going to burn for all eternity for the sin of blasphemy against the Holy Ghost.
Maybe we shouldn't rub that fact in their faces so much. Personally I would like for us to act more sad about this that they won't be with us in Paradise.
So instead of, "You're going to burn for all eternity," maybe we could try something a little softer like. "You'll call out to Jesus while you're on your knees before Him, but it will be too late." Then maybe we could post a
emote instead of the usual
.
I'm not sure exactly how it will go. I was hoping to get some of your input on how we could word things, so it doesn't seem like we're incredibly happy that they will burn forever and ever while we kick back in eternal paradise.

They might not want to bow there knee. I takes a lot of faith to believe in nothing. But on the Judgement day they will believe, and call on His name when it is to late.
