ENDA -- is it the end for us?

The seemingly innocuous "Employment Non-Discrimination Act of 2009 (ENDA)" is a proposed federal law which would have the effect, according to the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), of "making it illegal to fire, refuse to hire or refuse to promote employees simply based on a person's sexual orientation or gender identity."

That's right -- ENDA (H.R. 2981 - H.R. 3017 - S. 1584) has been changed from the "gay-only" version the House passed in 2007 to include language banning job discrimination based on "gender identity" as well as sexual orientation - complete with special protections for the transgendered. It would mean your child's teacher, if he were a male but "felt" like a female, could go into the women's bathroom.

ENDA is aimed at providing heightened "protections" for a particular sexual behavior - homosexuality. It would grant special consideration on the basis of "sexual orientation" that would not be extended to other employees in the workplace. As a result, ENDA violates employers' and employees' Constitutional freedoms of religion, speech and association. The proposed legislation would prohibit employers from taking their deeply held beliefs into account when making personnel decisions. This would pose an unprecedented intrusion by the federal government into people's lives.

ENDA is just one of many ways that gay activists are manipulating law and policy to force Americans to endorse their lifestyle and to muzzle and punish those who disagree.

Send an E-mail your members of congress today and urge politely, but firmly, that they oppose H.R. 2981 - H.R. 3017 - S. 1584: the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA). It's especially important for lawmakers to hear from business owners and associations. Let them know that True Christians™ and Americans in general will not stand for this!

Well, this is an outrage! What’s it to do with anyone if I want a ‘normal’ staff? However, as it is, I am cognizant of

Yet I do not see this as a ‘good work’.

So I looked to the broader scripture of

Now, I don’t want government inspectors coming round creating trouble, so I’ve told ‘Boy’ my faithful retainer that he will have to dress in a floral dress for the rest of his life because Obama has made it compulsory.

Problem solved.

You assume the men in the army will all magically become gay. The "don't ask, don't tell" policy is ridiculous. I mean, how can we truly connect to our brothers in arms if they aren't allowed to tell us about themselves? It doesn't change who is gay, merely who talks about it.

This is absolutely preposterous. As a very wealthy man, I have a large amount of people in my employ. I have always complied (and gone beyond the expectations) of affirmative action laws. I hire my share of Mexican't gardeners and maids, Negro butlers and chaffeurs, and Chink network systems analysts to keep my computers running for Jesus. But I will not - will not - hire a homosexual!

The government wants to force me to give up my lovely 21-year-old personal masseuse and replace her with some lispy nancyboy. There is no way in Hell I'm going to let some queer touch my body! They will also make me hire not just a mexican't maid, but a lesbian mexican't maid and I'll end up catching the AIDS when she touches the laundry.
