Well I'm sure you're all as disgusted as I am about the announcement in church this afternoon about the threatening letters we've received from 20th Century Fox regarding the weekly showings of The Passion of the CHRIST that we've been hosting in the sanctuary.

I'm not sure who ratted us out, but their chances of salvation I'm sure have been reduced greatly.

Apparently, under the ever watchful eye of the socialist Obama gestapo, we can no longer publicly exhibit copyrighted material in our own church! We're not even charging admission any more!

I'd like for each and every one of our members to start writing letters to 20th Century Fox reminding them that we are Christians acting in service of the LORD, and forcing their copyright nonsense on us may result in damnation.

It's just sick the lengths these interest groups go to in persecuting Churches with copyright infringement. Just the other day, I got a cease and desist letter for making 40 copies of Glenn Beck'sArguing with Idiots: How to Stop Small Minds for our prayer group.

Most countries now have copyright terms that are based on the death dates of the individual authors. Since Jesus was technically only dead for three days, and God and Jesus are still alive, a case could be made that Jesus still owns the copyright to the Bible (KJV1611) and the stories contained therein.

Since Landover Baptist Church is the only True Christian™ Church in existence, we are God's representatives here on earth and have controlling interest in His work. Any derivative work, such as "The Passion of the CHRIST", has to obtain copyright permission to produce such works. It seems to me that 20th Century Fox needs investigating, and it could be that they owe us millions of dollars in royalties – if not fines for copyright infringement.

Brother William, I think you're on to something here. As a businessman, I fully appreciate the value of America's unfathomable "intellectual property" laws. Corporate copyrights that never expire are a great revenue stream - we can thank Disney lobbyists for that (Mickey Mouse, created in 1928, still protected by copyright!). The last copyright extension has even been nicknamed The Mickey Mouse Copyright Law.

An even more fertile cash cow to milk is patents. No reason why LBC can't patent crucifixes, Bibles, pews, walking on water, rising to Heaven and everything else associated with Christianity. Then get yourselves a good patent lawyer and sue the pants off the Catholics - their priests want to molest little boys, they're going to have to pay royalties.

And don't forget to trademark names such as "Christ," "Savior" or "the Son of God." You'll have a trademark infringement lawsuit going against Mel Gibson in no time.

20th Century Fox needs to shut its mouth. Passion of the Christ is my favorite movie and I will show it when ever I want to whoever I want because I PAID FOR IT. At my church we show it all the time for the teenangers group on Tuesday nights, so why cant you guys?

This is just another example of the liberal persecution of us good Christian REAL Americans!!! Do you hear about Atheists getting sued when they read Origin of the Species or Das Kapital or Mine Kampf or any other libretard book? NO!!! Yet when we show Passion for a modest, brake even fee of $15 a viewing we get SUED!!!!!

I am with you all it is about time we start getting some Christian patents and copyright. Let's see the liberals cry when they have to use our symbols like the cross or the American flag!
