Does the bible not teach that men and women have equal roles and are thusly equal to each other? As it teaches that:

"male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus"

Also, if Eve was made from Adam- are they not made of the same- so as such are equal?

I would appreciate some other views on this topic so that I can form an opinion given a balance of opinions and evidence for each side.

Ga:3:26: For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
Ga:3:27: For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
Ga:3:28: There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

We see here that Paul speaks to the Galatians – he refers only to those who are Saved™ If you are Saved™ then you will obey the Word of God – The word of God rests also in 1st Corinthians 11:3 - 10

No. Eve was made as a helper for Adam, not an equal – a sort of minion for him.

This pretty much says we are EQUAL as long as we a) have faith in Christ, b) been baptized into Christ and c) are a human being - we are one in Christ. The word "neither" does not mean these above mentioned people are singled out from being part of Christ but means we are all products and one with Christ.

You are going to have to pull out better KJ quotes than these. These CLEARLY state the obvious that men and women are equal depending upon their relationship with Christ.

Notice the words themselves. "Wo-men". Did you know in the womb all eggs are female? Zygote, embryo, and fetal sex is determined from conception, when the spern enters the egg. Sperm contain either an XY set of sexual chromosomes, or an XX set. The XY's swim faster and are less influenced by mucosal ph and uterine changes, while the XX's live longer, thus the timing advantages for selecting sex of the fetus. Any zygote/fetus will be influenced by the amount of maternal estrogen, progesterone, or testosterone circulating within the maternal environment, but sexual genitalia per se is not changed from XX to XY or vice versa. It is indeed the male sperm that determines the sex of the fetus.

We are different but equal in Christ's love. Perhaps not in our duties and abilities. It is your own leaders that want the word taken verbatim. This is verbatim. (I can see another red mark on the horizon for old MA and I actually like you Bathfire - you have kind words, like cats and provide thoughtful comments.)

I think you'll find that God made men bigger than women. Without even consulting the bible, you can see that. It's science. I don't know if you've noticed this, but maybe you come from Chernobyl.

Well, that proves why things do not work out for me. My man is at least six inches shorter than me. I tower over him like a giant, course I am nearly six feet tall. Is there anything in the KJ Bible about the fate I will suffer for earning more money than my man and being taller as well as making most of the decisions? Do I need to be on my knees more and quit my job to help him be a True Christian man?

You just answered your own question, there "Eve was made from Adam". They were not bit made at the same time from the same stuff but Eve came later FROM Adam, therefore Adams comes first and will always be superior.

Dear me, no. I submit to him. He's my guy! Well, and I am trying to submit to the Will of God. We were just discussing my behavior last night regarding how bitchy and outspoken I get. At first he was not very happy about me being here at LBC. I explained the KJ version and a woman's place and it made him quite happy!

(He like me in heels although I would prefer flats.)

Actually, I have to step in here.

Lilith was the first wife of Adam, they were created from the same dust. Because of this, Lilith wanted to be considered equal with Adam, while Adam wanted to over power Lilith as, evidently, God had intended. So, Lilith was thrown out of Eden and Eve was created from Adam. Lilith became demon, any hopes of feminism for the next several thousands of years were destroyed and the rest of the content of the bible played as you know it did.

Just wanted to throw my two cents out there.
