wow you all are right i now see. everything is clear. i now believe in god. i am not joking around. i have found God. i was going through my records and found the proof of God. that record was wheels of fire by Cream. i now know CLAPTON IS GOD!!!

As a Christian I am utterly offended by Obama blatant sexism by not playing shirtless basket ball with women. Our middle age women should have the right to make fools of themselves in public doing sports they never practiced in thier lives.

While I agree with you on how we have a God given right to pray any place we want. There are a few things that you might not have known when you typed up your reply. Before I start I would just like to make clear that I love the USA and I would gladly die for my country.

For starters, a little fact that you may not have know was that most of the Founders were Deists, which is to say they thought the universe had a creator, but that he does not concern himself with the daily lives of humans, and does not directly communicate with humans, either by revelation or by sacred books. They spoke often of God, (Nature's God or the God of Nature), but this was not the God of the bible. They did not deny that there was a person called Jesus, and praised him for his benevolent teachings, but they flatly denied his divinity. As for the ones that were Christians many of them were of different denominations. Remember that the Colonies were founded by people from many different forms of Christianity.

Another thing I want to add is that you need to remember that our great nation was founded and built by foreigners. They were mostly good people but they were foreigners none the less.

But like I said before. We should be able to praise God whenever we want and we shouldn't be forced to say "Happy Holidays".

I never said we reject foreigners. I said that we should be allowed to to keep our customs. Canada is horrible for this, we always change to accomodate our foreigners, but they wont do the same if we go to their country. If we have to put up with their customs in their country, they can have the damn decency to do the same for OUR beliefs in OUR country.

Pierce, once again I am amazed at the clarity of mind you presented. That is twice this year. Good going.

The US of A is a Christian country, founded on Christian beliefs by good Christian people. Foreigners should go home and stop polluting the country with their invalid views on life. We speak American English. We celebrate Christmas. We have the God given right to pray any place we want. All these other people that want to change things disgust me. We would never of had this problem with Homers if we had just kept the French out.

I cannot see why you should deduce that Americans had nothing to do with America’s Greatness.
This is the history of the US

• The British founded a colony. The colony was thus not foreign as there was no USA.
• The Population was British until 1776. Like it or not, the populations of British colonies were British. The War of Independence was thus British fighting British. Foreigners are neither here nor there.
• With independence in 1776, the population in America became American, i.e. not foreign as the British now were.
• Thus we can say that America brought Americans into being in America. It is thus they (not foreigners) who are responsible for the greatness of America.

I hope this clears things up.
