Piffling banks. I wrote a post-dated cheque for my rent two weeks ago, payable on the 7th of this month (today). Looked in my mailbox today, and there's a letter from my bank dated the 3rd that my cheque had bounced due to non-sufficient funds, and due to that NSF charge, two more (very small) cheques that I wrote since have bounced, so I have now THREE NSF charges on my account.

$150 gone, and a whole lot of apologizing/explaining to do. Piffling assholes

Don't get me started on banks. I could write a book on them. I could also tell you how to get back at them, but that was in my past. It would be unchristian for a True Christian(tm) to pass those hints along now.

Although on second reflection it was probably what Unsaved Trash like you deserved. Post-dating a check is like borrowing.

Follow-up: Took the afternoon off work (unpaid )to get this **** cleared up. Down to the bank, talk to dimwit teller, yes I have to see so-and-so, please take a seat, she'll be right with you, yada yada yada...

Hour and a half later, still sitting in reception, steaming by this point, lady comes over and says, "Are you waiting to see..." "Yes" "Oh, I'm sorry she's left for the day...would you like to make an appointment?"

Business in the branch was interrupted for a few minutes, while I expressed my displeasure in colourful terms.
