The Hebrew text was completed around the 10th century AD. It is not quoted in the New Testament. Earlier fragments exist. The usual source for New Testament authors is the Septuagint Greek version. Some heretics claim that the Greek came first during Hellenisation of the Near East, written down in the era of Josiah and Hezekiah in a standardised form but this is a minority view.

That does not mean nothing was written down prior to that, say around 700 BC, and indeed there are examples from other languages.

Greek is not a difficult language to learn. Once you have the alphabet and get used to words having endings like

run
runnest
runneth

it's about like French. I actually find Hellenistic Greek closer to English but that is probably due to the type of English I speak. Others may prefer German or even Latin but why anyone would want to read the Vulgate is beyond me.

I would not recommend using the internet for learning Greek. If you go to your nearest university library or just walk into the theology department would probably be a better idea they will be happy to recommend a book. They are the experts after all. The internet is not.

Why would we want to learn to speak the Jew? What good is it? Only the Jews want to speak Hebrew.

Even if the jooishness that you have now discarded was chosen by your predecessors hundreds of years ago, for the Eternal God it makes no difference. He hates sinners and their offspring...

Deuteronomy 5:9
Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me.

...and He has good reasons to hate the Jooish:

John 5:16
And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day.


To summarize. This is a very good first step! Stay on the path, learn, read the Bible! Now you have HOPE!
