Reason No. 2 - Evil-ution from Monkeys!

If we really evolved from monkeys, why do monkeys STILL exist? Surely they would've evolved too? And why don't we have tails or swing from trees or speak in monkey-talk? These atheists must be pretty deluded to believe such nonsense!

We did not evolve from monkeys. But if Darwin's theory of evolution is correct then what he meant was that we evolved from the same thing that monkeys did. A creature similar to monkeys. but you're right, if it was the modern mokey we evolved from then they would not still exist as they do. As it is, If we evolved it was from the same creature amonkey did. Hence why genes are shared. For example, if you had a son and a daughter, it does not mean males and females are not related because you still exist. (This example uses a little imagination and outward thinking. It is difficult to come up with a good, but simple, example)

Reason No. 3 - The 'Big Bang'

Atheists believe there was a 'Big Bang' which created the Earth and the Universe and all things?? Well, what created the 'Big Bang'?? And what was there before it 'banged'??? Ask ANY atheist - they won't be able to answer you! Why? Because God created the 'Big Bang'! And then went on to create the Earth and everything in just 6 days! Praise Jesus!

The LHC that is being tested tomorrow (10th September 2008) will supposedly proove that.

These were the only two I could really comment on, having no argument strong enough to attempt the others right now.

The big bang: how you know god created it... who said it? a book? well thats a strong point to believe. I stick more to science because they have proof and a book can't proof anything.

You say that the bible is 100% right, because it was written by god, but do not provide proof that it was written by god. If you can prove it was written by God, then the argument is over. There are other books that claim to be written by God as well.

Scientists don't believe we evolved from monkeys. They(most of them) believe that there was a common ancestor, and that both monkeys and human evolved from them, becoming 2 slightly varied forms of the same species, and then becoming increasingly different from each other. (I'm really simplifying). You can agree with them or not, but it is easier to disagree when you know what you're disagreeing with.

As for the Big Bang. It seems like a good explanation that something had to start the big bang, if it happened. Though this doesn't mean that what started it was the christian God, or that it even carried on existing afterwards.

I am not aware of the bible mentioning dinosaurs, but if you could show me where, then i would be interested to read.

I know many atheists that aren't afraid of death, they just believe they'll stop existing...

I know this isn't a place to debate, but considering counter arguments are a good way to strengthen your own.

The behemoth could be a dinosaur i suppose, though it is not specific. It could be any large animal. An elephant, or a hippo. I believe it goes on to describe the creatures navel, and dinosaurs, hatching from eggs, do not have navels.

As for giving 'suck to their young ones'. Dinosaurs do not suckle their young, as they are reptiles, as are pleisosaur. It would have to be describing a mammal. Whales and dolphins perhaps.

If you look at pictures of Adam, he too has a navel. He was in God’s image, so God has a navel. I think that the navel was placed there before it was needed so that it would be there when it was needed. Who is to say that when God was making the animals he did not have a load of navels left over and just stuck some about the place. These are True Mysteries which lend beauty to Faith.

As we are currently discussing Why Atheists are so miserable, I have decided to start this new thread - to continue my '101 Reasons' Series with '101 reasons why Atheists are WRONG'.

Reason No. 1 - The Holy Bible!

Atheists 'claim' that God doesn't exist, yet the Bible proves them WRONG! I can see the Bible, hold it in my hand, and know 1000% that it exists! As God wrote the Bible, this proves that he MUST EXIST too! How dumb these Atheists are!

Nope it proves that The Old Testament and New Testament exist. But there is no conclusive proof that "God" wrote it. Doesn't the Old Testament actually state that Jehavah dicatacted The Old Testament to Moses ? So technically it was Moses who wrote it. But did he know it was God ?

Most dumb atheists believe that man and dinosaurs didn't inhabit the Earth at the same time. However, we know this to be a LIE! Didn't Noah ride dinosaurs onto the Ark? Aren't Dinosaurs mentioned throughout the Bible?

Dinosaurs aren't mentioned anywhere in Genesis and neither were they part of Noahs journey prior to the great flood. Feel free to disprove it(just try to do it with the usual derogatory remarks though).



Ask any religously devout person who created thier Holy Book and the reply is always the same.

"We know God created The Bible because it exists" but it can never been conclusively proven because that is what faith is about isn't it ? They will belive it without question and damn people who choose to ask if it wasn't.

Please remember any picures of Adam "in Gods image" are humans interpreation painted some thousands of years later. Just like Christs, The Apostles and God there is no recorded image of them and all of them could be innacurate.

I am sure the ban stick will come out because its seems your aren't a democratic bunch(strange for Americans don't you think ?) but rather hypocratic in that you don't believe in rational debate.

A "behemoth" could be anything and completely open to interpretation.

The hebrew meaning is "large animal" or "meaning beast" so they could elephants, rhinos, oxs, giraffes or any other large animal by their standard.

A "leviathan" could be a blue whale, killer whale, squid or any other large sea creature. It does explicitly mention the the creature is a "dinosaur"

The modern hebrew meaning of "leviathan" is whale.

My mistake it should be hypocrite. But if are doctors then I hope you good at it.

You must also remember that The Bible was wrote in Ancient Hebrew, Koin Greek, Aramaic and other languages then it was translated again to English, this is where the King James version of The Bible comes from.

Due its age and condition there is some 1000's of pages missing and complete translations are still debated today.

It was only the First Council of Nicaea in AD 355 that The Bible was we know it began to be formed.

The council was headed by Emperor Constantine and it is where the earlist version of the "Lord's Prayer" was also formed.


I fully appreciate that everyone has different views and I also value those points. That is what diversity is all about. Sometimes you will listen and think "Hmm maybe that's right".

Science is not the enemy of human kind and neither was Charles Darwin. It's is obvious through scientific study that evolution happened on Earth and that humans were part of the chain events.

Without science we would not the ability to save lives, spread the message of peace and help one another.

It is my belief that we cannot save this planet until we all work together.
