Jesus was just pointing out that if they fought with swords at that point they would have died and not fulfilled scripture, the rest of the passage shows this,

Matthew 26:52 Then saith Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into its place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword. 53 Or thinkest thou that I cannot beseech my Father, and he shall even now send me more than twelve legions of angels?
54 How then should the scriptures be fulfilled that thus it must be?

A better question might be: 'Where's the sense in basing your beliefs on theories - because that's what they are - which are constantly in flux, and often turned on their heads based on new 'evidence' which then becomes ABsoLUtE SCieNTiFIC trUtH....for a few years until.... new 'evidence' confirms the previous 'truth' was in fact a LIE?'

I think this is why atheists are so angry and aggressive. They don't have solid grounds to base their their lives on.

It is so much easier for us True Christians, we have the eternal word of God to base our life on.

We will be looking to send a missionary to see if "Finnish Fundamentalist Party" lives up to its name. At the moment, our Republican advisers are trying to find out if the snow's gone yet. If it has, and if sealskin coats and dog sleds are available, we will seek their advice.

All other inquiries have pointed to the whole place being Godless and filled with feral Eskimos and mosquitoes.

As we are currently discussing Why Atheists are so miserable, I have decided to start this new thread - to continue my '101 Reasons' Series with '101 reasons why Atheists are WRONG'.

Reason No. 1 - The Holy Bible!

Atheists 'claim' that God doesn't exist, yet the Bible proves them WRONG! I can see the Bible, hold it in my hand, and know 1000% that it exists! As God wrote the Bible, this proves that he MUST EXIST too! How dumb these Atheists are!

Reason No. 2 - Evil-ution from Monkeys!

If we really evolved from monkeys, why do monkeys STILL exist? Surely they would've evolved too? And why don't we have tails or swing from trees or speak in monkey-talk? These atheists must be pretty deluded to believe such nonsense!

Reason No. 3 - The 'Big Bang'

Atheists believe there was a 'Big Bang' which created the Earth and the Universe and all things?? Well, what created the 'Big Bang'?? And what was there before it 'banged'??? Ask ANY atheist - they won't be able to answer you! Why? Because God created the 'Big Bang'! And then went on to create the Earth and everything in just 6 days! Praise Jesus!

Reason No. 4 - Dinosaurs

Most dumb atheists believe that man and dinosaurs didn't inhabit the Earth at the same time. However, we know this to be a LIE! Didn't Noah ride dinosaurs onto the Ark? Aren't Dinosaurs mentioned throughout the Bible?

You only ask that question because the human brain has limited capability. We are created in God's image however we do not have God's mental power. There are two possible answers to this question.

Either God is eternal and has always existed,

Or God started at some point.

Those are the only two possibilities and neither makes sense if you use weak human 'logic'. That is why you need the higher power of 'faith'. When you use Faith then the answer that God has always existed causes no problems,
