Clearly that differs from where you come from. I myself in my country have never been associated with satanists, or baby-killers. Actually people here are very curious about things they don't understand, they ask what it means instead of assuming something that might be wrong.
It is natural for people to make first-hand-impressions, it can't be avoided, but when a first impression is proven to be wrong, one must accept that the assumption could have been flawed, or things could have been unencountered.

I'm sorry but the experts clearly doesn't investigate the definitions of Goths then. When can you call yourself goth? Where is the line drawn? Are you are goth for wearing black? Certainly not, black is a common colour for people to wear, traditionally when someone has died. Is it the eye-make-up then? Does eyeliner make you goth? But then again lots of very colourful people wear eyeliner. When can you say that you are really a true goth?

1 Timothy 2:9-12 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array

Wouldn't you say that the gothic look qualifies as strange apparel?

Now you're just playing distracting philosophical games. There was once a Greek philosopher that asked when do sand grains become a pile of sand? Certainly one sand grain is not a pile. And neither is two or three. Where do you draw the line? Yet, you can't say that piles of sand don't exist.

Like criteria for judging whether something is obscene in courts, "you'll know it when you see it.". That is how we judge what a goth is or not, along with if they are contrary to the Bible verses as mentined by Brother GOD=Life above.

so this one day right, i walk into my house and i find my daughter in the middle of a group of grown men and woman, all covered in blood with a slain goats head on top of my crucifix i use for prayer! as soon as i saw this i ran out crying and praying for my daughter. i could hear the moaning and groaning from outside!

i confronted her about it and she called it a blood orgy. does this mean my daughter is one of them goths?

So as long as it's modest and not "overdone" women can wear what they want? Clearly the scripture is protecting women from dressing temptatious and protecting men from being tempted. But dressing according to norm would be defined by the people you surround yourself with right? So being among goths should state that you should dress like one too? Not to be wierd?

When clothing becomes an 'outfit' to make a statement other than serve the purpose of modesty and protection, then there is a problem. Look at the ridiculous clothing Micheal Jackson wore. A 'outfit' that screams 'I am so different and special', even if the person is covered from toe to chin, is inappropriate. Bellowing for attention is far from modest.

Oh.. right.. I think I get it now... But again, being around dressed up people, one would call for attention being dressed normally?
So it's the calling for attention in irregular clothing that's the problem, I'm glad you mentioned Michael Jackson as an example that means the problem isn't only goth-wear, but all clothes that calls for attention and "putting on a show." That I can understand much better, from a scriptural view Thank you so much Brother, for giving me clarity on the subject.

I have seen some goths that call themselves "industrial" and listen to electronic "music" such as techo. Are these people as dangerous as your average goth?
