Question. I am new to the forum, and have yet to read through it entirely, but I just have to ask... Please try to follow along, I admit that I'm confused, and am just trying to figure this out.

You want to know what would happen to her if she believed everything she read in a book, correct? And writers "can make up anything they want in a book"? You don't believe in evolution, or solar science which states how the sun is a star based on it's mass and temperature and elemental components, simply because she mentioned it's "in a book"?

And yet you "Christians" stick to "The Bible"......
Which is, the last time I checked, a book.

I'm sorry, but you've lost me.

I just love how, when you're hypocritical comments are called to light, all you can do is change the person's quote and then send them a link to another page. Oh, and something else I forgot to mention in my first comment. Why is it that those of you who claim to be Christians on this site, and claim to be so well educated, can't even spell "writer"?

        It blows my mind.

Dear, have you forgotten you are on a Christian forum? The question of biblical infallibility has been put to bed ages ago through careful scholarly research.

The Bible is more that just a book. It is God's revealed word to mankind made complete with Jesus' temporary death, so God won't have to destroy us all again.

Poor proof-reading. And complete and total astonishment that "God's followers" are able to be so condecending and down-right rude for no apparent reason.

I was merely confused on how a science book was considered sinful and incorrect because it is a book, and the bible isn't, even though it too, is a book.

Another question to those of you who are able to NOT be rude, condecending or any other way than helpful and polite (keep in mind, I don't wish to be bashed for simply asking questions, as I am truly interested): The Bible is God's word, therefore all Christian believers should read and follow it willingly. But what would you do, being a human with free will and all, if you got to the last sentence of the last page and it said to kill yourself that instant? Would you do it simply because the Bible says to?

I know that many of you who belong to this forum and the curch won't take too kindly to my question, but I would greatly appreciate it if you answered honestly and without scarcasm. I don't mean to ask in scarcasm, I simply ask because I find it hard to believe there are people out there who truly believe as you do. I find it admirable, as well as dumb-founding, and sincerely just wish to understand.

I was not raised in a religious family, neighborhood, community, etc. although I have read the bible and even attended AWANAS (a baptist youth group), as well as numerous methodist, prodestant and lutheran services and prayer/bible groups. I'm merely trying to get a better "grasp" of what it means to be Christian, and which denomination would best work for me.

Unfortunately, after seeing the horrible language that comes from even the church leaders on this site, I don't believe the Landover Christian church is right for me. But I am interested in hearing your thoughts and recomendations.

A book written by men YEARS after Jesus's "temporary death", AND His accent into heaven to await His return.

Would you be talking about the same scholarly research that is missing many of the important life-happenings of Jesus following his birth up til the time His miracles were preformed? I'm sorry, but if the book I based my entire life's work on were missing such HUGE amounts of knowledge about the God I was worshiping, I would have some serious issues believing a single word of it.

That is my opinion however, I in no way claim yours to be incorrect. I'm simply trying to understand how it is you think.

Pointless and inane question. This forum deals with what the Bible actually says, not what "it might say" in your fantasies.

I assume your hostility is based on the fact that I'm asking questions that I find important, while still trying to control my outrage at close-minded people on this forum. And if I remember correctly, my questions were directed to someone other than yourself, someone with a more religious mind-frame than you yourself have, since you too seem to be listed as "under investigation". I'm sorry that you have an issue with my spelling or grammatical errors, and my hypothetical questions. I only ask them to gain better knowledge of their devotion to their religion.

I have led what many consider a sheltered life, but unlike many, my sheltered-ness was not directly linked to a religious reason, as so many are today. I simply don't understand. And I'd appreciate some compassion and understanding instead of rudeness. I'm simply trying to learn. As for my "not accepting" someone elses possible "poor proof-reading" since I am also prone to it, I will say this:

To whomever I so rudely and (very possibly) incorrectly called out on their poor spelling, I appologize. I will no longer criticize anyone's poor grammer, spelling, punctuation, etc. Thank you.

The issue I had was with your calling Bobby-Joe out, while committing an even worse error yourself. That's called hypocrisy, and no, I don't like it.

And Jesus would appreciate it if you wouldn't sin.

Jesus died to save the sinners. Stop pretending to be perfect and judge those who do nothing.

And according to that list, EVERYONE'S A FECKING GOTH.
