I do not believe in a Deity... I want to see who can provide the best evidence for me. I want hard proof my friends. None of that ' God wrote the bible so he is real" because then you get into circular reasoning and also threatening me with hell is not believable at all... It's not even a legitimate argument. Also an extra credit assignment: Give me evidence that evolution is false and tell me what you think really occurred for such biodiversity ( I want sources other than the bible or any other religious scripture due to the circular reasoning)

I have to say i have read the threads about evolution and they do not help me one bit. I would love to believe a God exists who loves me and will bring me to heaven if i abide by his laws but i cannot come to believe. I tried to pray to God when i was a child but nothing i asked for was answered. it felt like broken promises... And go ahead and put an infraction on me AGAIN! That would make it 4 today... And i am not trying to start a debate, i want to see what makes you believe this. I don't think god is in my heart because as a child my parents didn't tell me a thing about God. I only learned it through some kids at school later on and i didn't feel this presence surely i should have...

Have you spent time on your knees, sincerely and openly asking Jesus into your heart? Have you frankly confessed all of the sins and perversions you've been allowing in? Jesus sees through fakery and half-measures. He wants it all. If Jesus hasn't accepted you, the fault clearly lies with you, not Him.

I'm tired of hearing God-mockers apply so-called laws of logic against the Almighty. God is not bound by the rules of logic; who do you think wrote them in the first place? If He were bound by them, He wouldn't be omnipotent, now, would He be?

I base my entire life of logic and arrive at conclusions using my logic so it baffles me how this God or any other god or Deity could exist. Don't get me wrong I have actually read the bible and metaphorically it makes not much sense and literally makes even less sense. If Jesus or God does not want me to go to hell, surely he'd know the only way i would believe if i saw some proof that brings me to a logical consensus that they are really there.

Well your right, I am not sure that the reality i perceive is true and neither can anyone else, but this is the reality my brain understands and my idea of reality is shared by many others so i can't be too sure that I'm right (nobody can) about the reality i understand. And how do you view your reality and what is your basis?

Ask yourself what came first: logic (human invention) or God?

But really, you cannot ask for proof because that would defeat the whole purpose of the exercise we call life. We begin as sinners and aim to purify ourselves over time so that when the score is made, we're good enough to live an eternity in Heaven.

Ask yourself if you knew all intricacies of life when you were 5? Like all of us, you were probably still figuring out that putting your hand in boiling water is not a good idea. But life is a little more complicated. Have you heard about children with no pain reflex? Life is a little like that. We can put our spiritual hands in boiling water without ever realizing that we're throwing away our Salvation. The Bible teaches us where the boiling water is, so to speak.

If you really insist on logical proof: don't worry, once you stand before God, you will feel very very small when God asks you "so, you don't think I exist, eh?" I pray that God will let you into Heaven anyway, but the Bible leads gives little hope for unrepentant sinners...

But if you want logic, ask yourself how much risk you are taking by living a Biblical life. Say, hypothetically, that God does not exist. What have you lost? You will have lived a virtuous, respectable and incredible life. You can also choose to live a sinful and worthless life and then find out too late that there is a God after all and that the sum of your choices weren't the A+ you need to get into Heaven. Unfortunately, there are no second chances. It's the one test you do NOT want to flunk.

Also, please do NOT be fooled by false Christians. You came to this forum to find Real Christians. The vast majority of people who call themselves Christian are only Bible-skimmers and pat-self-on-the-backers. You may rightly associate Christianity with hypocrisy if you've only encountered false Christians.
