Especially when justifying this behavior with loose translations from the bible and twisting it out of context.

"Twisting it out of context" is a phrase Satan like to use. He tries to make people think the Bible means one thing in one "context" and something else in another.

The Bible means what it says no matter the context. Now and forever into eternity.

Nah, the (KJV 1611) Bible is pretty clear it has to be taken literally and should not be twistered or interpreted in any way. Proof:

Deuteronomy 4:2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

Deuteronomy 12:32 What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.

Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

Proverbs 30:6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

We do not twist the Bible. It literally tells us exactly how to interpret is (as in: don't add your own interpretation to it).

You would probably laugh at the notion of letting violent criminals decide which laws of man they should follow.

Why then is it silly for True Christians to follow the laws of the Lord?

Because they were just there on the page with nothing surrounding them. I was given no context thus I am LEFT with the assumption that it is out of context.

Has anyone here heard the song god thinks by Voltaire I agree with it's message. If there is a god (I highly doubt there is) he/she/it probably hates all religions.
