  • Pray for me, my brothers...

I'm having a difficult time, financially, thanks to our troubled economy and job layoffs to which I've fallen victim.

I've done what I can to stay afloat, and I've done a lot of praying, too, but unfortunately my situation is not looking so bright.

I've asked God to help me, and even though I know he would never put me through anything that I couldn't deal with, things are looking bleak...but I keep working hard to do the things I need to do to get by, but it seems like I can't stay on top of it all

All I ask for is your support.

    Thank you.
    -Skyler Christian Spartan

    ~John 8:7
And as they continued to ask him, he stood up and said to them, “Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her.”~

Why do you not just take another job? Are you lazy? Proverbs 12:24: "The hand of the diligent will rule, But the lazy man will be put to forced labor."

If you were a True Christian(tm) you would never go through tough times as God will always provide for those that does as He says. Stop being a God Mocking liberal. Read and live by every single word in the KJV1611 Bible. Get your mind right boy.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

        Friend,

What do you think you have done to anger the Lord so that He puts you threw this tribulation?

Many of the Rich will have their day in hell. Just because you're having a hard time doesn't mean God is punishing you.

          James 1:9-10

9Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted:
10But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away.

          Luke 16:19-31

19There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:
20And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,
21And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.
          22And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
23And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
24And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
25But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
26And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
27Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:
28For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
29Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
30And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.
31And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.
Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell. Proverbs 23:13

          Run to the KJV1611!

Tell me, son, are you tithing adequately? If not, then now is the time to start investing in the LORD! God wants us to be rich; we just need to have faith in Him!

The best course of action at this point would be to take the last of your savings and give to the Independent Baptist Church of your choice. This will send a message that you are serious about your Walk with Christ, and that you are worthy of His Blessings. Through faith and tithing, the LORD will put you on the path to Great Abundance!

            Malachi 3:10
Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

            Deuteronomy 8:18
But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.

            John 10:10
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

            III John 1:2
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

            II Thessalonians 1:7-9
And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power

The man who is being progressively sanctified will inescapably sanctify his home, school, politics, economics, science, and all things else by understanding and interpreting all things in terms of the Word of God and by bringing all things under the Dominion of Christ the King. -R.J. Not to repeat the above quote, but it cannot be emphasized enough. The way out of you financial situation is to give up whatever you have to Landover Baptist. The Lord WILL provide you with abundance. Trust us.

Re: Pray for me, my brothers...

I'm glad Brothers Latvija and Jedediah are with us here. As Brother Jedediah explained, God wants you to be rich, so it can be that you have angered Him. It might also be that God has some kind of plan which requires you to be poor and unhappy. Those things happen, just remember, it's for the Greater Good! As Brother Latvija pointed out, poverty isn't a sin. Laziness is, of course.
                Sweet Lord Jesus,
I want to pray for those who persecute me, my Lord.
Please, treat their children as you treated those of Egypt, when they upset you! (Psalm 135:8-9)
Dash their little children against the stones for their fathers iniquity! (Psalm 137:8-9)
Hit them on the cheek, and smash out their teeth! (Psalm 3:7)
Make their death and descent into Hell swift and terrible! (Psalm 55:15)
Scatter their broken bodies over the streets of their evil cities, like Benghazi, Amsterdam, Tokyo and Mecca! (Psalm 110:6)
                Praised be Your Glorious Name™.

                Amen.
